28pts for Siakam and I still don’t want his ass on the Sixers.

Embiid with the Ewing comp is quite good huh? I think we need a Charles Oakley type PF.

Indy obviously doesn't grasp the idea that they need to at least get an occasional stop to have a chance to win. Haliburton had a neon target sign on him all night.

He doesn't appear to have a high BB IQ and is so sloppy with the ball. Doesn't do anything well enough to justify anywhere near a max salary number.

If we had Siakam, we’d probably be leading 2-0 against the Celtics or at least tied at 1-1. We gave up that chance for a shot at Paul George, who is more likely to re-sign with the Clippers.
The alternate scenarios don’t look much better than trading for Siakam. OG? He’s hurt. Ingram? Ingram and Siakam have similar EPMs, with Siakam having the edge on offense and fitting our team better. Siakam can play Embiid’s role on offense when Embiid is on the bench.
Just my opinion.

Listen, if the choice is Siakam, George, or Ingram, I'm taking Siakam every time in a second. I just don't look at him as a max player, but then there are only a handful of players in the league that really are.

I think if we had anyone that could play the third star well was on this current team, we would have made it to the ECF. However, I don’t think Siakam would be enough to beat the TWolves or Mavs. His creation feels a little forced tbh.

Neubeck (or Fischer?) recently said we didn’t pursue Siakam because he and Nurse have a bad relationship. That plus the max Indy can offer equals near 0 percent chance he comes here.

I rather have Siakam than Paul George's declining corpse in a MAX multiyear deal.
Also he's a guy (unlike George) that relies more on lenght than elite athleticisim, i think his game will age fine.
Always sayed that Siakam compared to Tobias was some kind of combination between MJ and Magic Johnson, i wans't wrong lol.

Just threw the game on and, man, the Mavs are in sync with each other on offense.

Minny just ran a Conley-Anderson-McDaniels-Reid-Gobert lineup.

Say what you want about Embiid, but he wouldn’t have looked like a newborn horse against Luka at the end there. Maybe would give up a 2, but would contest the GW 3FGA at minimum.

Luka is a killer - dare I say ....... an assassin?
Why have Gobert in the game if you're going to switch everything? It was only a matter of whether it was going to be Luka or Kyrie isolated on him.
How about the lobs with Gafford and Lively? Two lethal lob threats, I'd be thrilled to have just one.

I still think T Wolves win the series, but Edwards has to play better he's been pretty brutal.

Re: NBA Playoffs Thread
The Mavs had Gafford and Lively combine for 30 points on 14 of 16 shooting. This highlights why i want us to have a lob threat or at least a finisher around the paint at the PF position. This type of pressure release valve scoring is very consistent and has little subject to variance.

Turns out when your 2 stars are closers it’s much easier to build around them.

Would you rather have two lob threats playing 20+ mpg at C or Joel Embiid?
