Thunder have shown interest in Isaiah Stewart, the Pistons have shown interest in Tobias.
DET gets Tobias, Bertans, and 24 LAC 1st from OKC
OKC gets Stewart, Korkmaz, and House
PHI gets Bogdanovic, Burks, Monte Morris, and Micic

As long as the move isn't for a "star" like Lavine, I'm all for a trade. We have needs in a couple of areas, but we do not need a stat-compiling loser with another albatross contract.

Agreed. If that's the move, I hope and imagine he does realize he's better off not making a big splash.mjkvol wrote:zaz102 wrote:I'm leaning toward Morey making a move. Lauri is the only big move I’m interested in this year. We have contracts and the picks to potentially make it happen. I don’t expect it to tho because Daryl & Ainge are two of the most stubborn GMs out there.

I like the idea of trading Tobias to Detroit because they are clearly the worst run team in the NBA. They’ve gotta be the team most likely to make a stupid trade.

Well, if you're interested in OG as well like me, make it three of the most stubborn GMs.Jailblazers7 wrote:Lauri is the only big move I’m interested in this year. Feels like it'll be a Mexican standoff.

I wouldn't spend $15M on a back-up C
Don't like him as a 4 - to me he's a tweener with a center skill set and forward height. Given the cap implications, give me Paul Reed instead (and I'm not a Paul Reed guy).

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
If Sixers trade for OG or Markkanen...
Any interest in getting in on the Lakers package for LaVine if the Bulls prefer Tobi?
Something like Tobi, House, Bev for Hachimura, Russell, Vincent.
Embiid / Reed, Bamba
OG & Batum / Oubre, Hachimura, Cov
Maxey & Melton / Russell, Vincent
I think Hachimura and Vincent could be decent additions as both would have 2 more years. I think the big negative would be being stuck with Russell for next year.
Also, not sure how this would impact our ability to re-sign OG, Maxey, and any of the other expirings that we would want to keep.
Thinking not the best idea, but throwing it out there.

ATL gets Bogdanovic and House
DET gets Tobias and Korkmaz
PHI gets Hunter, Hayes, and Wiseman
Under the tax and still should be able to generate into the upper 30’s in cap space should it be needed.
Maxey/Beverley/Springer
Hayes/Melton
Hunter/Oubre/KJ
Batum/Covington/Morris
Embiid/Reed/Wiseman/Bamba

Loser first option, but 3rd option behind an MVP? Multi time all star in his prime. Cheap. Perfect fit offensively on any team
Whatever, if it happens you'll reap the benefits

Moving on. Feeling more and more that Jerami Grant should be the target. He's priced better, fits better on both ends and would be cheap compared to OG or Pascal.

I believe Pascal would be the most cost-effective choice since Jerami is committed to a multi-year contract. Pascal, on the other hand, has more control over his trade value. If Pascal expresses interest in joining our team, we could likely acquire Tobias and a 2nd round pick for him. This is because, theoretically, we could sign Pascal in the offseason.
I also see Jerami as a good fit with Ayton and the team they're building.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind any of the three, but Siakam is my preferred choice.

How are we getting OG or Markkanen without Tobis expiring?

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
Those guys only make about $18M. That's equivalent to Marcus Morris. Raps/Jazz would actually have to add a significant contract (i assume some overpriced guy like GTJ or Sexton) if we trade Tobi.phillynative wrote:zaz102 wrote:If Sixers trade for OG or Markkanen...

Masai just let FVV walk for nothing rather than take a market price offer so I don’t understand how we’d ever get Pascal for Tobi + a 2nd lol

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
After watching that game last night... Give me Caruso over OG. He's just such a menace defensively. And makes sound plays offensively (and can actually make some plays on that end unlike OG). And he's cheap for another year. And he doesn't have an ego.
The box score shows 10-4-4, but he was the most impactful player on the floor for them.

Why all this extra stuff? I feel like Tobi for Bogey straight up is quite doable. We don't need Alec Burks or monte morris. We can still make other trades or wait until the off-season. Sixers would be an amazing offensive team with Bogey they already lead the league in offensive efficiency. Bogy could lead the league in 3's as a Sixer. He's never been paired with two offensive talents like Embiid and Maxey. He would be wide open a lot.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
Bogdanovich is certainly an option.
We could always deal with San Antonio if they are interested? Keldon Johnson and McDermott for Harris gets it done.
Portland has Grant if we wanted to try and swing a deal with them.
Memphis is floundering at the moment, but they are stacked with some nice young talent. I can only imagine what they'd want for Desmond Bane who would be a perfect fit with Maxey OR Jaren Jackson who would be a stellar fit with Joel.

Tobi for Bogdanovic straight up doesn't work. Tobi makes $39M and Bogi makes $20M. You need other players to match salaries and make the swap.brannigan73 wrote:the_process wrote:Thunder have shown interest in Isaiah Stewart, the Pistons have shown interest in Tobias.
