I think you know why he fell so far. There are legit injury concerns about him. I think he is a great pick here but I think a lot of people looked at him and were scared by the ankle.

Speaking for myself, with the Pacers, I wanted to build a different type of team than I'm going for with the Wiz, and starting both teams off with young, explosive PGs who have severe leg injuries doesn't really lead to a whole lot of room for difference.

Curry was a hell of a pick, though, especially paired with Love. Honestly, I think I like him better in that role than John Wall. 76ciology lucked out there.

I'm not really that concerned with Curry's health. He's just 24 years old. And it's not like he suffered ACL or microfructure injuries. Plus, his game is not built on his athleticism and it's more on his skills, shooting and basketball IQ. Sort of like Nash.

I agree. I was honestly thinking of building a team around Love with Wall and Ibaka. I think both Wall and Ibaka compliments Love very wall. Oh well, plan B.

With the 18th pick ExplosionsInDaSky and The Phoenix Suns select Power Forward Derrick Favors

I took Favors because I need high character players who are going to want to win. I needed a defensive minded player in the frontcourt when we go to half court sets. Once Favors learns to play in the post offensively there is no telling how good he's going to be. I'm not expecting him to be our go to guy (Irving already is) but I think he can be a 15-17 ppg scorer, especially with a point guard like Irving creating for him. He's going to be able to play either power forward or center on this team in the system Alvin Gentry is running.
Favors ability to defend, rebound, and block shots already makes me wonder why he lasted such a long time in this draft but I am really glad to be able to get him. He was second on my big man list overall!
