We won the tank battle today but not the war. We need to stay vigilant! Thats how losing is done!

What's Maxeys status? ESPN listed on the box score dnpcd. That's not a good look.

The funny thing is that they can’t really tank if they wanted to. They possibly have the easiest final 15 games in league history.

And most of the strength of schedule algorithms calculate the Mavs as a good team.

Our games remaining against teams who are not eager win:

Wash twice
Dallas
SA
Toronto
Chicago
NO

Nets games remaining against teams who are not eager win:

Wash
Dallas twice
Toronto twice
Chicago
NO

Raptors games remaining against teams who are not eager win:

Brooklyn twice
Charlotte twice
Port twice
SA twice
Utah
Wash
Phila
Chi
Dallas

Philly and Brooklyn have about 7 winnable games each. Toronto has about 13.

Nurse might be the ultimate tank commander. HIs stealth coaching to go into Zone defense giving up wide open 3 after wide open 3 is hard to counter-tank because jokes on other teams, our players can't hit open 3's!

Not impossible, but I doubt it. NO has a pretty tough schedule, but they are 6-6 in their last 12. I could see them winning 5-6 more games, but I imagine we run off a few more wins and ruin it.

Washington has won 4 of their last 8. We have two games against them, but without Maxey we could lose them.

Silver was busy fining Utah. However, if Barnes is not out for the year, Toronto might get a fine for sitting him.

Sixers just need an excuse to shut down Maxey. Kid doesn't need to burn rubber off the tires in this train wreck, and they can tank effectively even if everyone else plays.

Worst case, they pay the fine. Either way, I’m sitting out Maxey.

I think if they are left on the active roster, they are DNP-CD. Once they don’t play, they list the actual injury. They have to have 12 players on the active roster, so they can technically decide to enter the game I guess, so they change the designation after the game.

Let's aim for that 5th spot.

Grimes seems like a keeper?
Bona too?

hilarious to read the raptors fans trashing us for tanking when essentially our whole team has been injured all year. The hell are we supposed to do, push for the play in just to be swept for our haters enjoyment? Nah not this year  And they have a lot of nerve. You're sitting good healthy young players after picking in the lottery multiple years in a row. Blasphemous activities.

The Jazz fine is BS. They still have lost 7 in a row and are sitting in 3rd spot in the lottery standings if the season were to end today. A 100K to a billion dollar organization is nothing, especially if it increases your odds of getting that #1 pick. The fine is nice but it's not enough. They should add Lauri's point total to Jazz's point total for the games he missed, minus his replacement. If the Jazz now have more points than the opposing team then the Jazz should be credited with a win, for lottery weighing purposes.

Realistically we need wins from the Nets and Pels tonight. Washington is playing too but we're not catching them. Nets/Pels....Wins.

Cut the chit chat

Charlotte trades: Bridges/Nurkic/#6 pick
Philly trades: PG/#2 pick

Philly gets off Podcast P and still keep their lottery pick just swapping spots with Charlotte. They also get a better player with Miles Bridges and a expiring contract of Nurkic. This is the only way I think someone will take on that PG contract.

Do we have a deal?
