Somebody in other thread pointed out that over the past two years with more on ball responsibility, Maxey's 3P% has dropped significantly. Maxey as a 35% instead of 40% shooter is significantly less appealing. But he's still young and thought of highly around the league. Could be time to take advantage. They're almost certainly drafting a guard, they have McCain and Grimes...

We know what we have in Maxey, and we have a short sample size of McCain before the league did any homework on him and a guy who lit it up as a tank commander. The idea that these two comprise our backcourt moving forward hardly fills me with confidence.

It will never cease to amaze me how many on here have consistently pushed to get rid of the best homegrown player this franchise has had other than Embiid in the last couple of decades, a kid who works his ass off and improves every year. And wants to be a star here!

Sixers fans are more emotionally attached to Ace Bailey than Tyrese Maxey.

We don't see Maxey the same way.

They're pretty damn emotional about both!

Didn’t Maxey have a messed up hand all last year? I think that would affect the shooting.

Also, Maxey was playing alone for a lot of the year. I expect it to return if Embiid (or another star) is back on the court with him.

Which star is that? There's an impending medical retirement, the high plains drifter, and guys.

Elite sharpshooter Jared McCain will be back. His gravity will open up the floor for Maxey to dominate.

Playing with Quentin Grimes should help also.

Surround Maxey with shooters and at least one secondary creator and he'll dominate.

Follow this up by sending 5 and 35 to BKN for 8, 19, and the 28 1st returned

With three 1sts to pay, I think Yabu would be gone, however.

I would 1000% do this, even moreso without the 2nd trade down.

I like the first trade.

Do not like the second.

If they trade down, I would want them to stay in the top #6 to take one of Ace, Tre, VJ, Kon. #7 if Fears gets taken earlier.

I only do the 2nd trade if our prime target Noa Essengue is available at #8! Otherwise just take him at #5.

Be a nice draft haul.

Let the Nets watch Bailey bust.
