I don't understand the Ibaka part since they play completely different positions, but Ibaka was also a 3-time all defensive first team, plus an NBA champion, which would be a pretty good deal for a guard at 3, especially in this draft.

It´s because of his true age . Just kidding, i dont think he´s older, just messing with the Edgecombe fans.

The sample size is obviously tiny for him, especially given the lack of competition. But if there were no prior mock drafts that would bias my ranking, I keep asking myself whether I would consider Cedric Coward as an option for the 3rd pick. I think I would tbh.

Big frame, gigantic wingspan that combines that with great shooting indicators, stocks and sufficient playmaking/ball handling flashes on tape. Trading down and ending up with Coward and Murray-Boyles (I think he's an absolute fantastic fit with Maxey/McCain as a P&R partner), would be my dream outcome.

It is a smokescreen. He’s coming to workout this week. There’s no reason for him or his team to change their mind about no coming in if they are trying to force their way to a specific team. a team drafting later wants him to fall so they can select him or they can trade up a bit for him. Sixers don’t gain anything from leaking he refused us at first and neither does Ace or his agent.

I'm hoping we could get Coward if we trade down with Utah, Washington or Brooklyn with a 2nd late teens pick.

Unfortunately, I think someone gambles in the late lotto just like OKC did with Jalen Williams in 2022, taking him #12 overall when he was mocked lower.

Why are we only working out two players? Seems odd.

Tre Johnson hasn’t worked out with anyone it seems.
always a jump shot away.

Also, Bodner said he thinks (reading between the lines) that Ace's camp hated the idea of him coming here to be a 4th or 5th option, then reconsidered after realizing how trash his stock actually is (my words) so is going to show up now, lol.

Lol trash stock? Charlotte at 4, Utah at 5, Washington at 6, Pelicans at 7, Brooklyn at 8. Ain’t like he falling out the top 8 if he refuses us. His agent nor Sixers released that leak. It’s one of those 5 teams behind us leaking that he is refusing workouts and sees himself as a top 3 pick.

It's smokescreen and media clickbait season, so who knows what's true and what's fiction. A healthy dose of skepticism is always wise.

But I don't think it's impossible that a player who (I don't want to be impolite or rude but there's no other way to say it) exudes low basketball IQ and low real life IQ and makes bad decisions on the court also makes some bad decisions off the court.

Teams always do this: they even do it in the NFL. Red flags just suddenly come out that are outside of sports play. Insiders get their leaks from teams and agent/players. You can sometimes figure out where the leak came from or where it didn’t. Leaking Edgecombe having a great workout and Maxey flying in is a deliberate leak by us. It benefits Philly to let teams behind us know we want. As opposed to leaking Ace not wanting to work out with us because we have an ass development program and then changing his mind but not working out for anyone else. It would benefit teams behind us to blemish him so teams like Charlotte, Pelicans who already have leadership issues stay away from him if Philly does not select him.

Relatively speaking. He was supposed to compete with Flagg for #1 and now he’s being talked about as back end of top ten.
