I'm curious to see if this recent string of games is Saric turning the corner or just more of his up and down inconsistency. Either way, nice to see he can make that type of impact even without Embiid.

Even before this stretch he seemed more aggressive without Embiid out there. I remember there was stuff about him wanting to defer to ben and Joel too much during training camp, may still be figuring it out

Saric is blossoming before our eyes. He is killing it recently, and starting to show more and more of his floor game as he gains confidence.

Still missing his flash passes and post game. He can be better.

I know. The post game may be limited in getting much better in the NBA, but the floor game has a ways to go. He is really starting to loosen up with the the passes though. The first few months of the season he was comparatively tame.
I also like how he is driving more confidently as well. He isn't settling for jump shots all the time, even though he is a capable shooter.

yeah, very excited watching him improve. I still think he's going to be our 6th man Manu type player. All-Star caliber at some point, but best served playing starters minutes off the bench and is on the floor to end games.. love his fire.

Saric and TJ really need to make a buddy cop type of movie together.

Probably right, but he also seems like the kind of player that coaches want to have on the floor as much as possible because he is glue and raises everyones energy and play. Team Croatia played him almost every minute in their Olympic qualifiers and matches.

Wow. I didn't catch that last night. Richaun needs to chill. Can't be hurting the Homie.

Dario finally doesn't have the worst RPM among power forwards! Progress.

Seriously lol. Richaun just lost some points. But, the video is pretty hilarious because of Dario's reaction.

We have to keep them both. They have a great chemistry, they are playing great and both are clutch. They can lead our bench mob in a few years

I think there's a clear trend in his activity and aggression, even if the results are sometimes up and down. Just looking at his per 36 scoring by month:
October/November: 13.1 p/36
December: 15.6 p/36
January: 16.8 p/36
February: 20.2 p/36

Re: Winter is Here: Welcome Dario Saric
Zach Lowe today:
I already love the guy Philly fans call The Homie. I get the reasons some are more skeptical. Saric's 3-point shooting stroke comes and goes. He's not the most athletic cat. It takes every ounce of speed in those legs to beat some power forwards off the bounce, which means he has little chance to blow by wings. It's unclear how he'll fit on either end alongside Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. When it all shakes out, Saric may be a high-end backup -- the sort who plays 25-plus minutes at multiple positions, filling every lineup hole.
I don't care. The guy plays with such fire. He's feisty on the boards, and on defense. He gets more done in tight spaces than it looks like he should be able to. One reason: He has a nasty left hand. It gives Saric more options for finishing spinny flip shots around the basket from strange angles. He can get the ball up on the glass before defenders expect it there. His game has a purposeful arrhythmic quality.
Being almost ambidextrous unlocks more passing lanes when Saric drives into a crowd. He doesn't have to switch hands, so he can sneak the ball through a teensy crevice before it closes.
This guy is skilled, and fun. Embiid has missed almost half of Philly's games now. Malcolm Brogdon has fallen off a bit. Is Saric going to be our Rookie of the Year?

I agree with the above. I want to keep Dario around but as a 6th man. Play together with Simmons occasionally.
