I was all for Brandon Ingram prior to witnessing his past playoff performance against OKC. The guy looked like he didn't even want to be there.

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 2
It's becoming clear by the day the Sixers aren't getting any of the big fish LeBron/PG/Siakam.
I think the Sixers big move will come via trade Ingram/Lavine and possibly DeRozan in FA because of the Kyle Lowry connection.
Thoughts?

Besides the few who are Never-Zachers, would you absorb Lavine into space for Caruso? Nothing else important changes hands.

I'd consider it but I'd need some future draft assets. At a minimum a couple of 2nds. Lavine's contract will be hard to move next season even with escalating cap and assuming we keep the Clippers picks to do something next offseason. It also would leave us little cap left to use. But what if you get Jalen Smith with the remaining? I don't know if it's possible to bring back Melton in this scenario and I think Reed would have to be sacrificed.
Maxey
Lavine
Caruso
Smith
Embiid
Oubre
Melton
Batum
Lowry
That looks like a good defensive team and Lavine can do what he does to carry some offense.
I think there are better outcomes this offseason but this team looks cohesive.

I would, yea.
The Market Inefficiency is lottery picks / high(er) profiled players that have been deemed losing players or under-performers that you can buy low on & put into a better context:
Wiggins
Porzingis
Aaron Gordon
[PJ Washington?]

Does Chicago want to give us their lotto pick to take LaVine? If so, yeah, I'd do it.

I'm surprised the Magic haven't jumped on this. I feel like they could use LaVine's scoring, and they have the defensive versatility to cover for him. My guess is either the Bulls still want positive value back or they are trying to dump all their bad contracts at once.
For the Sixers, 11 has to be involved somehow.

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 2
as stated earlier depending on if you are a sad boi or a fan boi, you can take this two ways...
the positive way is that Morey isn't just going to throw money at the star guy.
the negative way is that we will be caught with our dick in our hand and no big fish wants to come here
If I wasn't a sick bastard and care too much about a basketball team, I'd be super interested in seeing what transpires.

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 2
Either Morey is trying to reestablish leverage or he got intel that PG is re-signing with the Clippers or in general doesn't want to come to the Sixers.
My money all along has been on Jimmy Butler. I think it's entirely possible the Sixers could trade for him on draft night.

I worry Morey's rep is now actively hurting the team.
But this is the put up or shut up time. Less than a week until the draft.
(Insert Thriller gif of Mike Jackson eating popcorn)

Alex Caruso for Josh Giddey. Caruso is off the board.

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 2
OKC just got significantly better.
That's the worry. I think if we build a team, we could topple Boston in the next year or two. My concern is OKC and to a lesser extent where San Antonio and their trajectory will take them in the next couple of years. They're waterfalling in assets and have young ready to win superstars at their disposal.
