Simmons can definitely play all four position, but he is most effective as a pf right now since he can't shoot. However, I do agree that he can be a star wing in the NBA once he improves his offensive game.

Lol at anyone who thinks any other player in this draft is even remotely close to Simmons

this is 2012 Draft all over again. 1. Anthony Davis 2. Michael Kidd-GIlcrhrist
the lottery is going to be the most critical of the Hinkie era.

Simmons is 1,5 years older than Bender (and Ingram too, even if that seems a bit more difficult) a lot can change in the future, as of now he will go nº1, and deservedly so, but I wont be suprirse if 5-10 years from now Bender is the better player.

I know basketball and right now he's not a wing. Now, if he gets a perimeter game then he could play the 3

I agree to a certain extent. I haven't watched Bender but, excluding him (Bender) Simmons is the best prospect in this draft

Completely agree but, we still have to take him if we have the chance to draft him.

Simmons is a PF, if you put him at the SF next to other non-shooters you are going nowhere fast.

He needs to play the 4. He only looks shifty/mobile enough to play SF at the college level vs slow players. He's simply not a rare Lebron/KD-level athlete where he's gonna be beating NBA wings off the dribble at 6'10.

And no one will respect his jumpshot for the first few years, which will make it harder to play him on the perimeter. A relevant comparison is Giannis, the Bucks basically use him as a PF on offense and SF on defense. He mainly only scores in halfcourt when he has a mismatch.

I've started to believe that this Class is not that DEEP.. Typical Sixers Luck :)

So I prefer to trade our draft pick and lakers pick for a PROVEN super star

How about Simmons + Murray for Westbrook?

Westbrook PG (Via Trade)
Beal SG (Free Agency)
Durant SF (Free Agency)
Okafor PF
Embiid C

How amazing the dreams can be ? lol

I really don't get the idea that Simmons can't fit. With saric likely coming over and reportedly an improving shooter you take Simmons bring saric over and run them at the 3/4 and match up as needed. Then you have 2 more guys outside of guards who excel in transition and run teams out of the building which is how BB wants to play anyway. And for those who cry about shooting well you can provide shooting from the PG/SG positions we do have more picks. The only real problem and I see it as a good problem to have is what do you do at center.

Right now this is how I tier the top ten prospects, in order. Brown with a much better game last night, and I feel ya on Ingram being raw. Wish he were more aggressive on both ends.

Simmons- head and shoulders above the rest so far

Murray- perfect fit for us, wouldn't be upset if we took him in the top 3 if Simmons is gone.
Bender- mystery, but the more these college kids play, the higher Bender's stock goes.
Brown- would like to see better 3 point shooting, but our need for a wing is just that high.
Skal- raw prospect but you can see the tools. He would be another BPA.
Dunn- option B for us with the Lakers pick if Murray is gone.

Ingram- might be at least a couple of years until he puts it together.
Demetrius Jackson- riser that could surprise in the top ten.
Malik Newman- need to see more of him.
Rabb- not a fit for us.

you havent really seen Saric have you? he is not athletic enough to defend in the perimeter and he is still a poor shooter to play the SF offensively, he is a PF through and through.

Kid has handles and can shoot. Don't see why he can't play SF

Wouldn't want it being his natural position though

I admit the majority of what I have seen from saric is highlights, his draftexpress, and like 2 not so good live streams and I do agree he is more a PF then a SF but in certain matchups no reason he wouldn't be able to play the 3. My point is saric has improved his shooting this season, excels in transition, and a terrific passer. How does that not work for running on teams?

Saric might be able to play some SF next to a PF that can switch defensively and hit the perimeter shot, Simmons cant precisely do that.
