That's wrong. Whiteside got his first offensive rebound (@ 8:28 in first quarter) before Okafor had even checked in (Embiid actually fouled him for an and-1 on the put back) and now I'm tempted to check the entire play by play.

EDIT: He grabbed a second offensive rebound against Embiid at the end of the game (1:17 remaining).

If I didn't miss any substitutions then he also scored 12 points with Embiid in, so 20 with Okafor.

No excuse for poor rebounding effort and it's no doubt that Embiid's D is not comparable with Okafor.

Jah did a good job moving his feet to challenge shots. And the on/off defense against the Heat wasn't so bad, considering big difference between Jah vs Biid defense and it was just a 4pts per 100 possession difference at 101 DRtg.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

For a player like Okafor that has a real weakness of rebounding, measuring him against the best or second best rebounder in the league should be expected to produce results like these.

There is the exact and full split (Idk why I didn't think to do this earlier, lol).

Whiteside with Embiid 12 points (4-8, 4-6 ft) 6 rebounds (2 O,4 D), 1 turnover, 2 blocks, 3 fouls
Whiteside with Okafor 20 points (9-11, 2-2 ft), 7 rebounds (5 O, 2 D), 0 turnovers, 0 blocks, 2 fouls

"You know, even Embiid at the end of the game, was talking about how we bringin’ back the centers… Last ten seconds of the game he was just talking about bringing back the center position, you know, how many great centers it is, how well I was playing. I agree totally with him. It’s so many great centers. Even Okafor coming off the bench." Hassan Whiteside

Part of the reason why Whiteside had such a dominant game is because the Heat have smart coaching that involved him in pick and roles against the Sixers soft defenders. Since Brett Brown refuses to put Okafor and Holmes at PF, Spoelstra ran pick and rolls that took Embiid and Okafor out of the play leaving Whiteside to destroy soft defenders. Spoeltra put Embiid and Okafor in positions to become a help defender off of Whiteside and the Sixers defender left to help on Whiteside was overmatched. It didn't have to turn out that way, but the Sixers were victorious so it will not matter until another smart coach with talent at center tries the same thing.

Ship him out. Ship him out. BC get on your knees and beg for Noel's forgiveness.

Brett just needs to do a better job putting him in position when he can score. Delaware for example.

Just staaap it. It's Brett Brown's fault he's terrible... he's not right physically yet... he's a Power Forward not a Center... his teammates are historically bad...

His huge ego prevents him from coming off the bench. Also, no way we pay someone (near) max who has troubles to even catch a basketball and who is penciled in to be a bench player.

Ideally, both need to be moved at some point, NN at the latest by the trade deadline.

Maybe we can trade Okafor for Buddy Hield (another predictable bust in the making). At least it would balance the roster.

Yeah. It was a bad pick and we may have to take a flyer on somebody. Using the 3rd pick on him is a sunk cost. Move him to make room to showcase Noel for a few months.

Maybe we should change the title from "where is OK4" to why is OK4 still here?

Maybe we really should play Okafor at the 4 to boost his value. If he plays with Embiid he may not look at bad. Embiid could mask his flaws and it may fool some GMs that Okafor can work with them.

I think at this point why not. Whoever is at the 4 it won't matter run them off the 3 point line, no one wants to attack the basket with Biid in no matter what

Jah feels like our new Evan Turner (right down to the truthers that feel he could be a star if he was just used a certain way and we are just using him all wrong!). Hell of a college player with fatal flaws for their position in the NBA.
