I would like to see us move Lou somehow..and maybe we will later.

I would like to trade Thad and keep green/kapono(let them expire).

In your opinion or your sources, what can Aldrich add to the team that our other bigs (Brand, Speights, Smith and Hawes) can't add. I know he was a defensive presence at Kansas but how do you think his game translates to the NBA. I liked his game in college but I see his upside as Joe Pryzbilla.

I think they would like to see Hawes and Aldrich split time at center. I think Aldrich upside is a 10/10 guy as a rotation player/good to average center.

My pie in the sky vision of this teams roster by start of season

PG Holiday/Lou or a pure PG in exchange for Lou
SG Turner/Meeks/Green
C Hawes/Aldrich
SF Iguodala/Nocioni/Kapono
PF Brand/Speights/J.Smith

Then you have two chips at trade deadline(Green and Kapono) that you could use to get another piece if you are trying to make a run.

I am not saying this is how the offseason will work out...but I know some of my thoughts are shared by others in the organization.

Uh oh, I see no Thad there.

Is a Kapono for Foster swap something that can still go down at any time?

SF-

Ken Berger says sixers are actively trying to trade Brand. Do you have any more insight on that statement? I hope it does not mean they are trading pick 2.

I love posts such as this. A deal is being worked on the day prior to the draft? Really?

Meanwhile, if you have been sworn to secrecy, why mention anything at all? Did this poster at least say what it was in regards to? A trade of the #2 pick in all likelihood? Another trade?

like i said the guy is not some goofball. he also noted this is the 1st time he has ever been privy to inside info so he doesnt exactly know how to handle it. its a trade. he says he loves it and that it might hurt us in the short term but will be better for us down the road.

so one would gather it involves a vet for a pick/youth etc. he posted it in sixers forum BUT in a thread titled "wolves about to panic" so we are guessing it involves Minn.

I am not even comfortable re-posting this on here but was hoping sixerfan1976 would know something

djmc, thanks for posting. I didn't mean to shoot the messenger, but there isn't a ton to glean from this until Minnesota does indeed panic. Nothing excites me when I hear about hurting us in the short term however because that could be taken to mean that Philly is going for potential over something proven. Of course, if it involves players, perhaps it involves something huge like Iguodala, which probably would hurt us in the short term.

Can you at least say what the name of the forum is? It has to be public.

You're not comfortable posting that a trade is being discussed the day before the draft?? That is some serious info and when you factor in that Mike Preston (head of 76ers PR) reads this board... oh damn, I'd hate to think of the repercussions of releasing this information.

I am not comfortable teasing people and putting out something without having all the info such as players involved, picks involved etc. I consider it irresponsible. I have zero problem posting a trade rumor if I hear it and believe it to be from a credible source. this here is different. I apologize if you dont understand where I am coming from on this.

this isnt a rumor of specific deal, just that a deal is imminent. I only posted to get sixerfan1976's opinion/insight.

1) We are not trading Iguodala.
2) Evan Turner is the pick at #2.

Anything you hear to the contrary of #1 and #2...ignore.

I just made your next 48 hours of wait until the draft that much simpler.

What is still possible is the Lou,Green,Thad,Speights,Kapono, possibly buying a 1st/2nd rounder for a pick/player

How does this trade even fit within the cap rules?
