I have a feeling they won't have the grapefruits to break this up and we will continue to be disappointed. The draft will be a bust and we will be stuck in mediocrity after our showing in the playoffs. Fools gold and they bought in.

All the statements coming out from ownership seem like they haven't bought into fools gold. They seem very self-aware they what they have right now isn't capable of getting the job done.

they know they got lucky to get where they did. and the games of scoring in the 60s and 70s made it obvious where they need help. Defense will still be a huge piece of this team for sure. But I think they believe Turner can do many of the things Andre does today...need a shooter to complement him with.

WE will see if they are right.

I definitely see gasol or jefferson as a higher probability than say a toronto calderon,davis and pick deal.

I do not believe anything at all is going on with golden state

I like him, he was great at UK.

Now a days, he's meh. At UK it seemed like if you gave him an inch, he would knock a shot down in your face.

It might be because he knows he only has a certain amount of shots in the NBA and that's putting pressure on him to make them. Regardless, he's not talented or athletic enough to be THE guy in the NBA.

as an off the bench guy....who competes with maybe a rookie like Rivers or even a guy like Xavier Silas..he is fine....he just should never start a game...i would prefer a better shooter from free agency personally...but I dont think Meeks will make or break this offseason.

Is Big Al a winner? He's been in the league for 7 years now and I'm still not sold on the impact he has towards winning basketball games.

neither am I. I'd take Gasol 10 / 10 times over Al Jeff. He's never been on a team that won a playoff game right? Because this was his first time in the playoffs, and they were swept. For a guy that came in the same year as Iguodala that scares me.

they like dion waiters but they dont think terrence ross or austin rivers is that much different a player at 15. They dont feel like they have to deal iguodala on draft night although its certainly possible. They are comfortable if they end up picking at 15 and taking Rivers or even a big man like Arnett

Thanks for the updates sixerfan. If the sixers do go big man at 15, is Arnett the #1 target? Personally, I'd much rather have Hensen because of his shot-blocking ability.

Well technically getting rid of Iggy and Brand is breaking it up...quite a bit in fact.

It's the passing of the torch so to speak. End of the Iggy era.

That's a pretty big step.

I'd rather them go crazy young since it looks like stopgaps like Pau and Jefferson are the potential targets. I hope they somehow trade up for Drummond...that way we could then get a scoring swing instead of bigs that do nothing for me.

One thong I find funny is that when the predraft camp measurements come out there is always a guy 6'11 barefoot and 7' in shoes and draft express will always remark how he "has established himself as a legitimate 7 footer."

If you look back at recent history (meaning since the started getting official predraft measurements) there are very few guys who are actually 7 footers... in the real world as opposed to the measured with shoes on world. Also funny to see how Hawes had the biggest shoes in history, gaining a full 2 inches from his shoes to become 7 foot.

Hey guys, haven't posted on here before but have been reading for a while.

From Australia, been a sixer fan for as long as I've watched NBA pretty much because of Iverson.

Thought it would be about time to post something.

Anyway, might cop some flack for this one but what would you guys think if we tried to pick up Perkins if the Thunder decide to amnesty him. Would OKC amnesty him?

I know people have spoke about how Thunder are going to retain Ibaka & Harden as they probably should, so Perk seems to be the odd one out with a salary of $8 million.

If we don't give up anything to get him and can pick up a scoring PF he could be an okay pickup especially if we got him from an amnesty bid. The only real problem is he really going to be useful in the East, especially if Dwight does get out of the East?

I don't know, just thought I'd try and bring in something that hasn't been brought up before.

what does your first line mean? it confuses me....

and this is VERY disheartening... if theres a deal to be had with Sac at number 5 to go get drummond or 7 or 8 to get lamb... and we DONT do it.... smh... its the same old crap with this team then....

drummond is the type of guy that can put you as a perennial contender for years to come... no wonder we dont want him

i would take perkins easily...

and this being a winner thing is overated... al jefferson hasnt ever really had a chance at a winning team... this year, the fact that that team made the playoffs should show he is a winner/leader

that team was not supposed to be anywhere close to the playoffs, and probably has the worst back court in the entire league

id take jefferson over pau as he is like 5 years younger... thats a full contract length of time... plus we have options with him expiring after next year
