Nice article. I think Covington will be a nice fit with Embiid.

I see him as a nice rotation player, but wouldn't be surprised to see him as a floor spacer with Embiid on the first unit. Average defense may be good enough with guys like Embiid, Noel, and KJ out there.

This article says that a Moute "is having a career-best year".

By what metric?

Statistically it has probably been one of his best season. It could be argued but the point Moore was making is that he has value and could be flipped for an asset if the 76ers feel that is a good transaction.

I know what his point was. What I'm asking is, which stats indicate that this year is his best? Because I don't see it.

Oh ok I see what you are saying now my bad. Probably points Rebs I think he's got highs in those stats IIRC.

Not rebounds. He's had 4 or 5 seasons with better rebounding stats, depending on whether you go with per-game or per-36-min. His FG% and FT% are the second worst of his career. His PPG is the highest of his career, but that's because he's got way more 3PA than all of his other seasons combined (and his 3P% isn't that great).

^ Yeah Tom fell asleep on this one. So just 24 hrs after they release their '15-'16 campaign slogan 'Now it Starts" which was accompanied by a picture of NN, MCW and JE they are going to trade him for an underperforming rookie.

That would be crazy, even with an added pick from Sac.

To be a beat writer and be this misinformed about the value of players to even suggest Noel for Stauskas is embarrassing and insulting. To suggest it on twitter is one thing but to actually put it in a column is pretty bad.

Would Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie consider trading slender big man Nerlens Noel for Kings rookie guard Nik Stauskas and perhaps a pick?

I agree Noel's value is very different than Stauskas's but he did include and perhaps the pick.

You guys are too hard.

But it also the timing which makes this such a ludicrous idea and obviously one Mr Moore floated out there on his own. The Sixers literally just said NN is a big part of their future and built a marketing campaign around him about 24 hrs ago. With considering nothing else the trade alone is just meh! Add it in the new campaign and it is a ludicrous proposal.
