Jones fracture. Sixers board has to be the most informed board on foot fractures. Sorry to hear the bad news.

I know he wasn't a rookie, but you might as well throw Bynum on that list as well.

It's those Pumas he's wearing. They looked really flat when he was wearing them in summer league. I don't think they're great bb shoes.

Re: Welcome Zhaire Smith
A normal organization would have him back on the court around November/December but it’s the Sixers so we’ll see him next season

A rookie doesn't have a foot. Another foot for the many footed god.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Results of the curse haven't been too bad, at least. Maybe being injured nullifies the actual curse seeing as to how our rookies that have played a majority of the season just after being drafted have ultimately sucked.

Wouldn’t it have been more shocking if our top draft pick wasn’t injured in the summer and missed all or much of his first season?

Re: Welcome Zhaire Smith
Sixers should rather have him completely healthy than rush him back. Don’t necessarily need him for next season, if he can sit back and just learn from watching practices and games and being around the team like Simmons did then better off just doing that and having him come back stronger next season.
One thing to keep in mind is that of all the Sixers 1st rd picks that got injured their rookie seasons, Zhaire relies on his athleticism the most by far.
Jones fracture is no joke. Be smart and let him recover in time for next year’s summer league.

Re: Welcome Zhaire Smith
Jones fractures once healed, almost always do not have any lingering effects on athletic performance, but they can re-break very easily if you don't go with the most conservative recovery time table available. I think seeing him in the calendar year 2018 is a pipe dream, earliest is Q1 2019, if he returns this season at all.

I think the only person who is happy about this is Mikal Bridges. He dodged the bullet.

Zhaire wins the rookie of the year award next year. Book it.
