Malik Beasley signed for the minimum so he decided where no matter what.

Sounds like James is mad at Daryl and absolutely will not return.

Apparently the possibility of a return was shut immediately.

Looks like we'll get a trade before the start of the season.

Did I miss some other team offering Harden $50M last offseason? The whole “pay cut” narrative was just a way for Harden to save face as he entered the non-max player phase of his career.

Damian Lillard right now if they offered Tyrese Maxey.

I personally say we go all in. I think we love Maxey a little too much.

Embiid and Dame, managed by Nurse.

Losing both Harden & Maxey to get Dame would be an awful trade tho. I could understand the logic of going all in on Dame/Harden/Embiid but the Harden bridge is burned.

It would be Maxey plus more for Dame from a team that is already thin as hell, there would be little left around them and even less future and cheap assets than now, plus aging guards don’t have a great recent history here.

There’s also Dame per Shams insisting he will only go to Miami and that trade talks could last “weeks”.

Dame doesn’t have a NTC. If he gets traded somewhere he doesn’t have a choice. I doubt he’d throw a tantrum and just wouldn’t show up if he got traded elsewhere. That would make him look awful and honestly, has never been his style.

Or what though? Holdout? For four years?

Dame is better than Maxey but Dame is NOT better than Maxey and change which is what we'd ultimately be giving up. His contract is going to be an albatross and the only way to overcome it is to either have young pieces on rookie contracts which we do not have or veteran ring chasers who are willing to take the minimum which is also highly unlikely.

If Dame doesn't wanna come here then forget him. I don't want a guy we have to beg to come here.

Cross another name off the list. Not many names left that would make sense for the Sixers.

... as the Harden saga goes on and on...

Solid add for that team

But yeah, the Harden situation has them in limbo at the moment. Don't know what you'll end up. Don't know how many roster spots you'll need.

I'm not so sure this isn't their plan. It certainly seems as if they are only offering 1 year vet min deals. Guys would really have to see this team as having a chance to win it all or have no other option to sign those. And it is too early in FA for the no other option guys.

I was thinking this , I don't think it would bode well for anyone if he's traded here for Maxey and change and doesn't really want to be here. These new age players are pouty.

i think dame is a proven playoff guy who hits big shots - he's under contract and you have embiid. it may take a year to fill out the team but it will keep embiid happy while getting a stud player.

maxey is nice but i think if it's maxey and picks, you need to pull the trigger - the flipside is not doing it and most likely will lead to embiid asking out within 2 years.

Tobias-maxey-28 first for dame

Harden to clippers
Bulls clippers 2 firsts Marcus morris norman Powell
76ers Drummond - Lavine- Mann

Only way I’d trade Maxey is if we have a Lavine trade already.

Dame-melton-Lavine -tucker - embiid
Bench Beverly - springer- Mann-Drummond- Paul reed

Sign Reed and do what you can to get Kelly oubre. Thee end...

Embiid / Reed/ Petrusev
Tobias / Tucker
Oubre /House / Korkmaz
Maxey / Melton / Springer
Harden / Beverly

PJ Washington and Grant Williams in that order is a pipedream because they are restricted FA....

I think it would be Harris + Maxey for Dame (3 teamer?) and Harden for role players (pretend it's Mann + Powell + Covington) and picks.

Lillard/Melton/Beverley
Powell/Springer/Korkmaz
Mann/Tucker/House
Covington/(MLE)/Petrusev
Embiid/Reed/(project)

So in essence, Harden/Maxey/Harris for Lillard/Mann/Powell/Covington/picks?

Barring a significant increase in the salary cap, it's going to be really tough to build a roster around two players who will make a combined $100 million for the next 3-4 years. Given that it would probably cost us multiple draft picks, it makes that task even more difficult.

I wish there was a way to pry PJ Washington away. At best we'll have the taxpayer MLE at this rate.
