My cousin who lives in Miami but is a die hard Magic fan and travels to every Orlando game told me that he was sitting behind the Orlando bench one night and Jeff Van Gundy was there to cheer on his brothers team. My cousin sat next to JVG all night long and they talked basketball throughout the game. JVG said that his brother said that he heard from Otis Smith who talked to Orlando's owner who got the ok from his wife who is secretly cheating on the owner with Dwight Howard said that it's a possibility that this deal goes down.

The word is that Otis and Gilbert agreed that if GA fails to regain his former self, he would opt out in 2013. Another thing is the proposed amnesty clause that would enable them to use it for GA in 2013. This would give them a big cap space in 2013. Still, I think their team is messed up. They should rebuild it like how the Lakers did it that season when they ended up with Bynum.

That's not even a salary dump.

A salary dump is when you get back expiring contracts. But all 3 of those guys are under contract for 3+ years.

I guess the Orlando board has lots of attention seeking fibbers
