Now if we could just get Dion to sign with the Kings, Colangelo might be in the clear from a really stupid move... at least until he trades Noel for pennies.

I'd rather we go for Randy Foye if we're going to go for a Philadelphia connection.

How did Solomon Hill get more than this guy? ROFL.

A+ move just based on the other contracts I'm seeing handed out. Today can't be real.

I give this signing a "C"
I am not really high on it. IMO Bayless is a short combo guard.. i think we need more of a playmaker who can direct traffic.

I need to take the wait and see approach because this may become a better signing as the team gets rounded out.

You are right that he is a combo guard, but he can shoot and is better than any other guard that we have.

Let Simmons learn to run the team. We aren't winning many games next year anyway.

25 wins is probably our ceiling this year, unless Simmons and Embiid dominate from the start.

These contracts that have been handed out today are going to take some time to get used to. It makes the Bayless addition look even better.

Not bad, I like this.

Fits the mold of what we need and the deal isn't nearly as atrocious as some of the others.

Funny (and sad) how much we're scared Colangelo will make a mistake, just how much we don't trust him. I agree that trading Noel for pennies might be the scariest of all moves right now.

I gave it a B.

Dellavadova got $9.5 MM (4 yrs) -- Bayless $9.0 MM. (3 yrs)

better defense vs better offense?

Clarkson looks like the best deal so far? IDK

I'm cool with Bayless. He's one of those good under-rated back-up guards like Augustine and Sessions, that are always seemingly under-payed. If they can get Courtney Lee for a reasonable price I'd take him too.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

For all the bellyaching about BC running his mouth too much and telegraphing his strategies to the rest of the league, the signing of Bayless was pretty much a Hinkie-sniper-shot - nobody had any inkling about it until it happened. Kudos to BC.

I graded this deal an A+. We only have to pay him 27 mil for 3 years? Lin got 12 mil. Comparable players were paid millions more.

He's good enough to start this year, with TJ backing him up. We can draft our star and/or longterm backup PG next year.

This deal looks even better if we can also sign or trade for a starting SG.

How could this be a Hinkie type signing? He didn't sign anyone.

You all know TJ is going to come back with an improved 3 pt shot and beat Bayless out as the starter this season right?

Clarkson's contract was depressed by the Arenas rule. Without it he would have gotten a lot more.

Yawn. I like the value. It was a good move and I think Bayless fits the roster and our needs right now, but some of yous are really too excited about this. I'm guessing it's because it's looking like BC might not just be a brain dead moron whose daddy got him a job. But really, I'm not gonna **** my huggies over Jerryd Bayless no matter how much we're getting him for.

I don't think any of us are doing that. We know what we're getting with Bayless, nobody is expecting him to lead us to the finals. I think it's very possible his stats are a bit inflated this year because he will get a lot of looks by default, especially if we don't add any more guards.

Is he the only person in the world that spells his name that way, I mean, besides his mom?

B+. Would be A with team option third year.
