If boston also misses out on hayward, I'll be laughing so hard. Imagine having all those assests and capspace and only coming up with tatum.

Ainge over played his hand so hard. He's a fantastic executive but there is now no denying he **** up.

Celtics have never been a major FA destination and Ainge refuses to use his hoard of picks to trade for someone unless he thinks he is pulling a Red Auerbach style lopsided deal. Hayward is a second tier FA and likely wouldn't even have them on his list except for Brad Stevens. Ainge could have built a long term monster by now, but he won't pull the trigger.

3 star - Superstar level players on the market and a highly touted #1 overall pick. Danny comes away with none of them, even though he started off with the damn #1. Man, its a good day.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

I think that GMs dont want to deal with Ainge after he handicapped the Nets. It's a brotherhood

GSW is still winning it all.
GSW...SAS/HOU/OKC...MIN/NOP...UTA/LAC/MEM/POR/DEN

and I can see SAS falling the tier 3.

It'll be interesting to see who makes the play offs between Portland, Timbs, Okc and the Jazz (if Hayward stays).

Lol at Celtics

Picking the Western All-Star team this year should be fun! Expand the West's roster to 20 and cut the East's to 10... then make the West pick 5 guys to send over to play for the East to even it out.

Eighth seed in the West will have 49/50 wins. Just like a couple years ago.

I hate the Celtics, so they deserve every loss and everything bad that happens to them. :D

Celtics fans have spent the last 4 years walking around lecturing other fan bases that they have no right to ask to give up anything of value for their good players. "We'll give you RJ hunter and terry rosier even though Danny really likes him."

Enjoy al horford and Gordon hayward (if you even get him)

They have 2 probable premium picks left I believe. One from Nets and one from us. They currently have only IT, overpaid Horford, Tatum, Crowder, Brown, and Smart.

If they don't hit on someone soon it could all fall apart. If he is getting Brown, Smart, and Tatum from those great Nets' picks, then I wouldnt be optimistic about the 5 or so non-lottery picks they have in the next two years.

Boston seems to be ready to make a big move, they have a good group of players and assets. If an Anthony Davis type superstar is not available soon, they may lose a lot of value or leverage, quickly. Anyway, the Fultz pick is such a great move by Colangelo, the Sixers have a great fit of possible stars to build around. A shooting, playmaking PG (Fultz), a scoring, rim protection C (Embiid), and a rebounding, playmaking PF/PG (Simmons), they should be a well-balanced group of young stars that should be competitive real soon.

Fultz & Tatum could play in the POs. When was the last time, that two of the top 3 picks had this chance?
