I'm at the point where I'd take that and move on. I feel like in any Simmons/Fox centered deal, the Sixers would ask for a 1st from the Kings and the Kings will think the Sixers should be adding a first. Which probably means a more or less straight up trade is fair.

Honestly, I'm not sure Morey demands a 1st at this point. Getting an all-star level player back would be a huge win. I think even he knows this.

I think at this point Ben Simmons has tanked his value to the point he either plays for us or doesn't play at all.

He's almost untradable at this point

There’s very few (if any) untradable contracts in the nba

I should have been clearer he will be impossible to get any value for. His agent is a clown him and Simmons basically ruined any chance of there being a deal so he needs to make a choice either he returns or plays in China

I don't.

I think a Ben trade is far more dependent on another desirable player becoming available than anything Ben does.

Yep

Things might become more fluid as season progresses and GMs have had time to assess their needs

With game on line, Fox dribbled air out of ball before turning over

Sure that this is who you want?

Ben has zero value right now. You are not getting Brandon Ingram for him. The type of players you could get for him are Caris Levert and Andrew Wiggins or D'angelo Russell. Its a tough pill to swallow but he destroyed his value. His value is not going to magically increase unless he plays and plays well and that seems like a pipe dream. This is a dreadful situation.

Ben for Ja Morant. No, Lamelo Ball.

Actually I want Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Maybe a first on top too.

Ingram + Tobias are kind of the same player but I think Ingram has more upside and would trust more as a finisher at end of games.

Would N.O. make that deal?

Problem is Ben + Zion don't fit at all. But NO needs a starting caliber PG as Devonte Graham, Kira Lewis and NAW ain't it.

Someone else suggested a 3-way:
Ben to SAC
Fox to NO
Ingram to PHI

Addresses needs for all 3 teams. Getting a forward like Ingram means we can hand Maxey the keys long term at PG. It also means Harris must be dealt as there aren't enough shots long-term for Embiid + Ingram + Maxey + Tobias.

Either Fox or Ingram would work.

I’d still trade Ben for guys like Fox or Dame.

But I’d be exploring on some deals where it can provide me great value for utility because they are the talent I need such as a 2 way stretch 4 and a scorer I could insert to just get me buckets. Then I’ll just take my chances for a top tier star with picks to compensate for the difference in value. These type of trades would be great near the deadline when we can have more knowledge with what we need and the value of these picks.

We cant just keep waiting for guys like Dame and Fox to be available.

Guys if Wall and Westbrook can be moved then yes both Harris and Ben can too. People have agendas and emotions in high enough positions. Then mistakes happen.

Wolves GM
Pelicans GM
Blazers GM
Kings GM

All in warmer waters than our one. Our one went to the bargain basement aisle and got diamonds lol.

Funny how patience is a virtue. All of us said it would be like this. Let the fishes circles and frenzy themselves out.

We get a good deal. Thank them, keep quiet and move onto the next potential good deal. Trading 101.

For Ben its just a market waiting game now. Whoever mentioned the December opening is a smart cookie.

I bet ya the value is the same as it was pre draft.

But I see both as being addition by subtraction as long as the players coming back fit and that’s pretty self explanatory on the types that thrive here.

Those 10 games I mentioned earlier are bringing up some nice results for us. Kings just lost to the tank/not tanking? Sam Presti plays 2k team. (Won 4 in a row now)

Don't be silly - Morey will demand 3 Picks and 3 Swaps with any of those youngins!

The Ingram/Fox/Ben 3 way trade just makes way too much sense.

Fox is getting dragged to oblivion right now on twitter by Kings fans for his recent play and the Dort strip is pushing things over the top. Reactionary fans aside, they have two promising young guards that they've drafted since Fox and they're one of the few teams that genuinely need Ben's... whatever Ben does.

But we already have Maxey and the fit with Fox and also Seth is redundant. And I'm not denying De'Aaron Fox's ability, more-so I really believe in the future of Tyrese Maxey. Maybe not the all around general Fox is, but a better shooter and defender.

So then New Orleans comes along with their dysfunctional mess. But Ben and Zion are a bunk fit. So they receive Fox, we get Ingram and the Kings get Simmons.

Let it happen already so the season can begin.

Or it can also probably be Dame-Ben-Ingram 3 way.

I just dont know what Pels plan is. If they want to win with Zion, they have to put all their chips in. But what they’re doing was the old Darius Miles-Lamar Odom Clippers back in the days with sexy young talent and losing team going nowhere

It’s happening the 3 way deal! Yes I do have a crystal ball muahahahaha!

Alternatively there’s one Kawhi Leonard opening on December, hmmm for a Mercenary he has an all time ceiling and can legit bring us to the promise land.

I mean for a full arc story that would be incredible, would be hard to stomach though. Yeah that’s probably fantasy.
