I never really saw what others saw with Springer, but he's a much better defender than Ricky.

Ricky is a much better offensive player though.

I do have to add, Springer never had 19/10 in the NBA...not even close.

Man! It feels great to get a win. I don't know how anyone could ever just enjoy losing.

Need to teach Council how to shoot so he can play a more size-appropriate position.

His energy worked tonight, but we can't be having a 6'6" PF with no defense. Otherwise, he's just KJ Martin 2.0.

Good to see them back in the win column, though.

Looking forward to seeing Maxey/Hield backcourt with Embiid.

The Ricky Council game. Nice. Better option than Bamba at center?

Buddy is gonna drive me crazy at time with the record scratch shots, but a DNGAF shooter is gonna come in handy.

My biggest question on Ricky in the league was his shot from distance, but then I saw him shoot 40% in the G league on decent volume. He plays with alot of sprit, always has, fun to watch.

The jumper is the key to his future, although I don't think it needs as much work as others, I also don't think he really got any looks out there in the parts of the game I saw.

Council having a game like this is why I didn’t give a damn about giving up Springer. I’m not sure he was the best prospect on the roster

No reason not to give Council a legitimate run of minutes. I'd rather give him minutes over KJ Martin.

I think Council is a small forward 3&D player in the making. He shoots a knuckleball three, but they're going in. The shot isn't broken or scary looking the way Springers was. Kobblehead is right, he needs a bit more consistency on his three, but the tools are there for him to do it. He just needs to keep working on things. He's a big bodied wing, this kid can take a hit in the paint, he takes a fall like a champ, he's just durable. I want to see how he does against some of the better competition in the league.

I wonder if Nick will lecture the media if they ask about his game?

Even Tatum doesn't isolate against his wing defender; he prefers to target slower centers or smaller guards. Tobias has to adopt a similar approach.

In transition, Hield needs to pass to the guard so they can quickly advance and establish position while the defense is scrambling.

The Maxey-Hield ghost screen action has proven effective and shows promise. Their two-man game is more effective than any involving Reed.

A double guard lineup is beneficial for a drive-and-draw offense.

This team is finally entertaining to watch, and the next six games should be interesting.

It's weird that you hate every good player the Sixers have ever had.

Nope, as you can see, Buddy and Oubre are good players and I like them a lot, Butler I also liked him a lot too. Maxey at the very least I love his passion and heart, something that some other divas like Simmons or Embiid lacked, but yeah, his talent leaves a lot to be desired unfortunately. That being said, I would still give Maxey the Max if that's necessary, the chances of a player with passion and heart to improve his game are much much higher.

Ricky council is basically danuel house replacement, he is a energy bench wing.

Paul Reed also shot 40%+ from 3 in the G League, and that hasn’t translated. These awkward shots are hard to get off against NBA defenses. Hopefully Council gets a chance to rework his shot from the ground up.

But if they can develop him in the way Miami continually develops project players into rotation players, it would be a major step in the right direction.
