Kinda surprised Furphy hasn't been drafted. He's better than Braun was at the same age who was drafted in the 20s of his draft. Looks like a relentless worker and is 6'7.5 without shoes. Definitely worth a late first.

Boy does he need to deliver.
I hate to even think it, but it does seem like it's going to be James and his G-League son.
Either that, or Morey is one delusional cat.
Going with the latter. At least until we see who pick 41 is.
My next question is: are we 100% sure they aren't going to sell the pick? Or trade out for future picks?

The Sixers win % when Embiid played was a 65 win pace. They don't need to get another "star." They just need to make good solid moves and surround Embiid and Maxey with really good complimentary players.

I would like a piece that takes some of that load off of Joel.
Having listened to Morey in a few conferences, when he doesn't have a plan he believes is "imminent" to be pulled off he picks language that gives him wiggle room in case nothing materializes. Last night, he sounded more like he felt confident something comes about.
At this point I feel like it's going to be PG13, Lebron or Jimmy and our fallback is Miles Bridges. I honestly don't know how I'll feel about the team if Miles Bridges is the move. From a basketball standpoint, he could literally be a young developing PG13 type. Just offcourt...

Knecht also played better than McCain in conference play in a better conference
I don't understand how Morey is a multimillionaire yet he is still a fat ass. Serious red flag from him
How can I trust a dude like that to make the right decisions for this franchise?
I believe McCain has significantly more upside and would be more worthy as a trade piece as well. He also has the all intangibles according to reports (work ethic, positive attitude etc.), I like that Morey takes this into account. We wasted two first picks on players with horrible to mediocre intangibles (Simmons & Fultz).

I hope this is true. We know it was pre-Morey, but we also know Morey DGAF and can probably talk ownership into going along with him.

Ownership can just call Eagles for the playbook on how to do a PR end around. Plus Eagles showed fans forgive if you help a team win.

Probably wouldn’t contribute much this year, but Tyler Smith definitely has a skill set worth developing. 1 of those 4 would be a nice get in the 2nd

Yea, it's kinda nice to see ownership bringing in only high character guys. Like the most seedy guy we've had is Harden I guess?

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 3
some good wing prospects still on the board.
Klitman, Furphy, Christie, Flowers, Ajinca and Edwards are all upside type picks
Larson, Bridges, Wells, Ingram and Crawford are more plug and play
I like Nikola DJurisic ...plus taking a Nikola at 41 worked before

Any older rebounding Forwards available who could play right away? Lower ceiling / higher floor?

Honestly, I'd be fine with Grant as well. He's better than Tobi, we could put a bunch of long athletes around our team. God knows he's a better defender.

the thing about Grant is that you wonder if he can scale back down after having the taste of being a top option lol

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 3
I don't think the door is shut on PG yet. It feels like it's way more shut on Butler than PG. THe Butler reports have been far more definitive. All we have of PG is "It appears he wants to stay on the west coast" and "Several teams are willing to do a sign and trade, one being the Warriors."

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 3
Grant has more tools on both ends than Tobias for sure, but dude eerily reminds me of Clippers Tobias (aka fraudster). I can absolutely see him disappearing in a playoff series as #3 (see his bubble performance with Denver). Combine that with the fact he's a horrid rebounder for being 6'7'' when rebounding next to Joel is a massive priority to address this summer.
