He's really bad at managing personalities, it's probably his number 1 weakness. Our locker room fell apart when Lowry left: he got in fights with his own players, banned his coaching staff from talking to the media and they turned around and tried to stage a coup.

Nurse is a great tactician, but he won't be the guy that brings your locker room together. If anything, he has a tendency to make it worse when things are going bad and the vibes are off. A Nick Nurse locker room needs strong leaders in it that set and maintain the culture. In that sense, Maxey stepping up could be a good sign for you guys. From everything I've read about him, he's well liked and respected by his peers, despite his age.

When he lost that Raptors team in Tampa and couldn't figure it out to the tune of the #3 pick in 2021....I knew he was overrated. When they struggled in 2022 until the end of the year...I knew he was overrated. I thought (and still think he's got a good system offensive, and focuses on defense) and Kawhi gave a ECF team new life above DeRozan along with other teams getting hurt to help with that 2019 title.

This wouldn't have even happened under Doc. Doc would never have put a lineup of Jared McCain, Dowtin (shouldn't be playing), Drummond, Eric Gordon, Oubre. That's just terrible when you don't play your best PF all game in Yabu.... Play him with Andre if you need to resort to that other lineup.

Still perplexed by how many didn't see this coming with Embiid.

Imagine what this team would look like right now if both Simmons and Embiid would've been traded at the optimal times.

We'd probably have someone like Holmgren along with a treasure trove of picks.

Can't understand why people still believe Joel can perserver through 4 hard fought playoff series given his injury history and reputation for shrinking in the playoffs.

Meetings like this are normal if the team suck.

What is worrying is that the discussion inside the meeting got leaked and not even the entire thing but just one soundbite. Someone is driving his own agenda and that means there is fracture already on the locker

Read on Twitter
?s=46

"Embiid, with sweat dripping from his left eyebrow, unclear if it's from the 31 minutes he just played or from the realization that he is indeed the problem, swallows and, with a whimper, lets out "I'll try to be better", sources say who were in the room."
- Marcus Hayes

Soon we're going to get the Zapruder's video of this meeting.

You forgot to add "thinking of his dead brother" since it's from Hayes

Shams - I got this from an unnamed, close source. Tyrese also let me know his hamstring is feeling pretty good and he should be back soon!

Adem Bona, 3rd string center, is suspiciously quiet. Wondering if this is his way of pushing Embiid out.

If not, please shut him down for the year, draft Flagg and explore trade options in the summer.

I've done the tankathon draft simulator 10 times and the 76ers only got the #1 pick once. We are not getting Flag.

Highly doubt Maxey leaked it. Most likely scenario is that it’s an assistant coach or staff member who either want it known that Joel is a problem or just want to be in Shams good graces for when they’re looking for a new job or promotion given his NBA executive access.

could be a multitude of things

1.Wanting it to go public to hammer it in to Biid

2. Soft launching trading him with no backlash lol

3. Shifting blame from FO

4. Reggie Jackson's revenge lol

5. We are a clownshoes organization...i mean our past GM had multiple burners

Definitely the coaching staff or front office as a wake-up call for Joel.

Really don't care about why it was leaked or by whom though. I'm just glad it was.

What isn't normal however and is highly unusual is that the centerpiece of the team and its highest-paid player is being identified as the problem. That player should be providing an example of excellence and should be calling other players out if need be, if the team sucks.

Meanwhile Jalen Brunson looks like **** this year. How's Kat's defense btw? Has Bridges come up with a new way to shoot the rock?
Or maybe you'd like some more Rick Brunson scandal.
