Draft that Lucas kid and store him for the future.

Gay may be a better scorer...but i think Iguodala is the better player.

as a Cleveland fan I would do it if you guys would stockpile Iggy on a beach in Hawaii for a year. That way he cant make us any better, we get a high 2012 lotter pick, then bring Iggy back in 2013 ready to ball.

We should try our best to get bismack biyombo, this guy has been compared to ben wallace and is really young. If we had a legit inside presence, the miami heat would not be playing the bulls right about now..... We had spencer freakin hawes as our starting center, nuff said!

I'd love to move up for a big man, they can have Speights along with Iggy and 16, give us #4 and Varejao. Sign Hawes on the cheap or let him go, he pretty much sucked this year and has no balls.

If we stay at 16, I would wait to see how some of the PF's measure out. Markieff Morris seems a reasonable pick at that spot, physical, can shoot a bit, likes playing D and is a Philly area kid. Not a sexy pick, but a solid addition to our frontline depth.

Any chance Minny wants to move that second pick?

Already hearing from sources that Minnesota has told people they're very open to moving No. 2 pick. Kahn wants veteran help

I read the same. IMO, if he were to be moved, Memphis wouldn't want to assume Iguodala's money. If Philly isn't involved, the deal needs to be made soon since Gay's salary is higher than Cleveland's TPE next season. That becomes a moot point if there is a lock out since it expires July 11.

Their fans on these boards are in a funk. They have Beasley, Johnson, Love, & Randolph and they need another tweener forward like a hole in the head. Either the pick (if Williams is it) or one/some of the players probably get moved.

They'd still have the same amount of wings though.

I don't care how we accomplish it but I would do what ever it takes to trade into the top 5 and grab either Jonas Valanciunas or Enes Kanter (besides trading Jrue and Turner)

Tanking doesn't necessarily mean the worst record. It's clearly worked for teams in the 5-8 range.

Hey Derek, How would you rate the draft of the past 10 years versus lets say the draft of the 80's with regards to talent coming out of college. I think the draft of the 80's and even 90's was much deeper then lets say 2000-2010.

Or Cleveland this year. Or Cleveland back with Lebron. Or Boston for Oden. Or ...

Meanwhile, Philly hasn't exactly been tanking, so I have absolutely no idea what the eye roll meant. Unless we are complaining about having Turner?

Talent level of the draft is always the same. 100% (or, virtually) of the talent comes through the draft, same way it did in the 80's and 90's. Two things have changed:
1) Players aren't as ready to immediately contribute
2) It's easier to miss because there's less data out there on these guys.

But overall talent level and depth doesn't change.

Kings Trades: Francisco Garcia + 7th Overall pick (Bismack Biyombo)

Why for the 76ers: We get a slight cap relief. We also acquired Francisco Garcia. He replaces whatever hole that Iggy left in this team. With an improved ET next season, Garcia's slashing ability and perimeter shooting would make him a good fit playing along side ET. And more importantly, we got Bismack Biyombo to give us an intimidating force in the middle.

PG: Jrue
SG: ET
SF: Garcia
PF: EB42
C: Bismack

Why for the Kings: With their frontcourt already solid (JT-Daly-DC), Iguodala would fit well with Udrih and Tyreke Evans. Iguodala would give them, arguably a top 7 talent in this year's weak draft. They also acquired Jimmer who should be an instant offense scorer off the bench.

PG: Udrih
SG: Reke
SF: Iggy
PF: Thompson
C: Cousins

Solid, but there is definitely risk in not getting who we want at 7.

True, but a trade like that would probably have the condition on who's available settled beforehand and only made if they are met.
