Brooklyn taking Boston to the wire would seem encouraging, but Boston is prob a little bored.

I can't believe how bad Horford has single handedly killed this franchise.

When they traded the pick, I knew it was going to bite us. Trading picks that far in the future is a recipe for disaster.

Told everyone who would listen how bad trading Butler and signing Horford was. It went down unfortunately exactly as I projected it to. Said at the time it was one of the worst days in Sixers history.

Unfortunately, the Sixers sprinked in some additional mistakes and idiocy after the fact that made it even worse.

Nets with a nice unexpected win tonight over healthy ish Hawks. Raptors were up until the last minute too but Blazers pulled out a win.

I hate that this is what gets me excited these days.

The countdown has begun. I cannot wait for this miserable season to end. My interest in the NBA this year is at its lowest point in ten years.

I put that 100% on Brand, who is mind bogglingly still in the organization.

It funny. Toronto had a solid lead and pulled their starters. The bench players averaged more minutes than the starters in a one possession game.

If the play-in game is an incentive to compete, it’s not working for the Raptors.

The Nets winning is nice, but doesn't make up for the inexcusable Sixers win.

I think its more than just trading a pick for getting rid of him. Horford was highly responsible for the 2 playoff series that Celts has won against us. We probably would have won the latest series against the Celts if he didnt shutdown Embiid in game 7.

2028 - 1-8 Own; if (i) PHL 9-30, if PHL does not convey 1st round pick to BRK in 2027 and if PHL has conveyed 1st round pick to OKC by 2026, is third most favorable and (ii) NYK is most or second most favorable of PHL 9-30 if conveyable, PHX, BRK and NYK, then most and third most favorable to BRK; or most / two most favorable to BRK in all other scenarios; least favorable of PHX, BRK and NYK to NYK if NYK and / or if PHL 9-30, if conveyable, is less favorable than PHX and BRK; or second most favorable of PHX, BRK and NYK to NYK in all other scenarios; more favorable of (i) WAS and (ii) least / less favorable of PHL 9-30 if conveyable, PHX and BRK to WAS then other to PHX (via BRK swap of BRK or PHL for PHX; via BRK swap of BRK or PHX for NYK; via WAS swap for PHX, BRK or PHL); LAC

We were talking about this pick before. This is the language for BKN owed in 2028 if OKC doesn't convey in '25 or '26.

It does certainly seem to read as if BKN gets nothing in '28 if the Sixers can keep their pick away from OKC the next two years.

Also seems like motivation to have Joel sit all next year. And to take bad money to move off PG.

The best scenario would be:
2025: keep pick
2026: keep pick
2027: pick to OKC
2028: we are unable to convey pick to Brooklyn, so we give them two seconds or whatever the consolation is

However, if we keep the pick this year, we would have to be really bad next year since the pick is only top 4 protected. It’s likely Maxey plays 65+ games, so it would be difficult. I would hope we could dump PG by midseason.

The Sixers would be folded if they tried to do what Toronto is doing. The Sixers are the only one of these teams with legit injuries and Silver is still breathing down their necks. Unserious league and worthy of ratings drops it's getting. Maybe the commish should stop focusing on the product on the court and start focusing on the million other things the league does wrong.

The worst part about this season is we finally have the depth and bench I’ve wanted for 10 years but it doesn’t matter at all.

Yabu
Grimes
Edwards
Brissett
Okeke
Hood-Schifino

All guys I would’ve been overjoyed to have on a team with a non-crippled Embiid.

I think all the blame should be going to Harris. He empowered bad (Colangelo) or inexperienced (Brand) decision makers to the detriment of the franchise.

True. His bending the knee to that POS Silver is really what started the entire mess. It just snowballed from there.

I'm starting to think that Maxey might strangely be the most likely guy to be sent out in a trade in the next year. High value and we have Grimes and McCain on lower cost contracts.

Intriguing in some regards even (though I love Maxey), but scary as well. Like what if the Suns show an interest for Durant? I could definitely see Morey wanting to make that kind of move.

Really? I could only see Maxey moving if Morey is fired.

None of us saw the Jrue Holiday trade when it went down. It wouldn't shock me if Maxey was "surprisingly" traded this summer. I'm in no way saying I want that to happen. I just see it as one of those situations where our focus is elsewhere (Embiid, George) and 'boom' Maxey gets traded.

Personally, I think we should re-sign Grimes and see how things look with a healthy roster and a top 5 draft pick next October.
