I loved Mouse-Man’s ball-hawking and steal-hunting as much as anyone but he wasn’t happening for us and was gone soon anyway, so I thought the trade was at least a solid move and maybe much better.

Never saw such a rich trade deadline (..and buyout market...)

As Philadelphia as a gosh darn cheesesteak. Do we even know if he's able to walk down the court yet?

If the issue is that we traded Thybulle for Jalen McDaniels and we didn't get better, then you're simply wrong. Jalen is a +2 STL% while doing literally everything better on offense than Thybulle. He's also 4 inches taller and can actually defend the SF/PF.

Who has Jalen McDaniels locked up on defense?

If McDaniels doesn't foul 3-pt shooters in crunch time it will already be a step up.

He's played 3 games this year. Not much.

Maybe Silver is twisting some arms to help get the all time scoring leader back into the playoff picture.

I'm being hyperbolic. He's 35 years old and was struggling to stay in front of younger guys before blowing out his left knee. I'm not sure what adding him would provide.

We got the top two scoring duo in the league who can run the most lethal PnR. Two elite ISO players.

We have James Harden. And we still need help?

You got 20ppg scorer off the bench and a 16ppg scorer as 4th option. How many contenders can say the same thing?

Somethings wrong.

I think the team is fine. We’re just having a rough patch

You constantly quote numbers, all of which are very impressive with no context. But without looking at said context it is impossible to get a clear picture of what this team is and why it always has issues in crunch time and against better competition.

That Bucks team and especially those Warrior teams had much more going for them beyond impressive 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th option scoring numbers. They had versatile, complimentary rosters, excellent coaches with real plans and a clear understanding how to maximize the talent on hand and adjust when needed, and they play the game the way you win in 2023, as opposed to 1993 as we do here.

Numbers and analytics are wonderful in a vacuum, but without context they are often worthless.

This.

As you can see Im also very up to date on how the game is played. I know what the real reason is thats why im bringing up those stats.

My whole point is…

Winning with Biid requires a lot of talent. More talent than winning with Curry or winning with Giannis.

Because center should anchor your defense and rebounding, but you have a center who’s anchoring your scoring and conserving energy on the other end.

Its almost impossible to build the kind of team you guys envision.

For instance, many have been complaining about adding a rebounder or a secondary rim protector. Im the first to point this out BTW. But it wont happen because you guys also need a shooter. And having both is very expensive. We had that with Al Horford, but you guys drove him away. So who are we looking at? Jaren Jackson Jr. Or Kevin Durant?

Then if you are able to find that guy, teams will then zone us up and force the other guys to attack closeouts. But if you just surround Biid with 3&D guys, they’d be useless on offense. See how Clips offense is when teams would zone them up and force the other guys to attack the defense.

people say they want Haliburton. Haliburton is really bad on ISO and scoring. If you think Harden is bad on scoring, Hali is worse. And I dont know how you can maxout Hali’s passing when all he’s gonna do is just passing to Embiid who’s popping on those two man games.

Guys here also dont want to trade Maxey. Some think he can be as good as Lillard. Look around, guys like Maxey is so easy to find. We should have been looking to trade him if you really want significant upgrade.

You can win with Embiid. And I think we can win it this year. But if you want to build the ideal team with Biid. Its impossible. And those are two different things.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Jrue Holiday, Brook Lopez.
Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins playing stellar defense and hitting 3s.
Role players matter.

If the Lakers can send Beverley and a few 2nds for Bamba, we should be able to send Korkmaz and a couple of 2nds for Naz Reid.
