There is the possibility that star players such as Durant can dictate where they are traded to. My God we've seen this happen countless times. Shall I give examples? We happen to be fortunate enough to be a draw for players at the moment due to being a contending team in the mix for a postseason run. If Durant wants to play for the Sixers I have no doubt he'd be able to force his way here. Nobody here is dreaming. I threw out a proposal with the idea that Durant would ask to be traded here. It's not gonna happen, it's just a discussion. What should I be talking about on a basketball forum that has a specific page titled "fantasy trade?" I do apologize that my idea outrages you to the point of throwing a snarky, backhanded insult my way, I was just making conversation. Go buy a scratch off.

Good lord, some longtime forum posters must have gotten coal in their stockings this year. Such hurt feelings over incredibly mild comments, the kind of which are seen on these forums ALL the time. Not to mention, I've +1'ed many of your posts over the years. Hope your day improves.
Go Sixers and Eagles!

So an AND1 makes it ok? Get real here. You make an unnecessary comment (very clever BTW) about the proposition of Tobias Harris and FRDP's heading to Phoenix for Durant who can easily force his way to any team he wants to play for as if it's a ridiculous pipe dream. Like I offered up Paul Reed straight across for Durant. It was a detestable comment and why? Because you can I guess, "becaues it's a sports forum bruh and I eat mozzerella cheese sticks at bars." Now that you feel like a jerk about it, you want to turn it around and play the victim by calling everyone on here sensitive while making another crappy comment in the process. Keep digging yourself A-Hole bro.
Maybe just admit that you took a shot at talking down to another poster on here and that it wasn't the nicest thing to do. You can't have it both ways...You can't say some snarky **** and then turn around and pull the happy holiday/have a nice day bit, which just makes you even sound more like a jerk. Let's throw our hands up and say Go Sixers because that makes it ok. It's obviously not genuine at that point. The only thing genuine is you straying off-topic by acting like a condescending victimized dunce. "Like OMG what did I do wrong!" Stop it! Stick to basketball talk instead of lotto tickets and dreams. Hit me up privately if you want to continue saying mean stuff. Yes, I'm a longtime poster on here, no, I haven't always been the nicest poster on this forum, but the older I get, the more focused I am on at least being decent to people even when we disagree.

A detestable comment? Please, man, seriously: you don't sound like yourself here. I'm gonna back off completely cause I've liked seeing you post here over the years and this kind of bad blood is silly. But you can't be this upset about the few words that I wrote. It has to be something else, and I'm sorry about whatever's going on with you. I mean that.

 You need to look in the mirror.

Where are my hurt feelings? I already apologized for hurting yours. I'm upbeat. Grateful for my blessings. Let's just pick that chin up, brighten your thoughts, and try to have a better day. You can do it, buddy!

Your feelings were hurt the second Durant was mentioned apparently. Anyway, lighten up sunshine. It’s just a game and there’s a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day!

Hey gents, if we are resorting to meme links that means that we need a break from this thread. Please take your own break from this topic. Thanks

New Orleans has too many cooks. Ingram and Zion are not a great match, and it's even made worse with McCollum.

Would you consider trying to acquire Brandon Ingram if available? Or are we just all assuming the Knicks are going to dump all their picks for Zion?

Love this, but don't think the Knicks do it.

Yeah I keep thinking about a way to make a 3 team trade work where Knicks end up with a C…but they mostly likely don’t need us to get a deal done and it would just be a 2 team deal. I would love to get Grimes from them tho…with Brunson, Quickley, Barrett, DiVincenzo and Hart all needing mins at PG-SF there isn’t a ton of room in the Knicks rotation for Grimes. He’d be a nice fit with Maxey and Melton with upside to get better, plus he’s cheap

I think if the Sixers gave the 1st instead of the Knicks they might do it.

Do you give a 1st for Hunter and Grimes is the question. I probably would.

Ingram would be a top pick of mine. What does it take to get him out of there?

Raptors probably wouldn’t sell this hard, especially in 1 trade, but I think this would work all around

Sixers out: Tobi, House, Springer, ‘26 OKC 1st, ‘28 LAC 1st, ‘24 2nd
Sixers in: OG, Boucher, Fournier

Knicks out: DiVincenzo, Hartenstein, Grimes, Fournier, ‘24 1st (via Dallas), ‘24 2nd
Knicks in: Siakam and House

Raptors out: Siakam, OG and Boucher
Raptors in: Tobi, DiVincenzo, Grimes, Springer, Hartenstein, 3 1st’s (‘24 Dallas, ‘26 OKC, ‘28 LAC), and 2 ‘24 2nd’s (1 each Phil & NYK)

Maxey
Melton
OG
Batum
Jo
Oubre, **, Boucher, Reed, Pat Bev, Morris, Fournier, Bamba

**Trade RoCo and 2nd’s for best guard you can get…Alec Burks/Delon Wright/Horton-Tucker/??

I’ve also been thinking GTJ is a great trade target…but does he actually want to play for Nurse? The more I’ve looked into it doesn’t seem all that likely. I know there was some issues because Nurse called out GTJ to the media last year. And he didn’t outright say it, but seems like GTJ only exercised his option to stay in Toronto because Nurse left. Maybe things have cooled down and it would be fine, but I’m not sure GTJ is a trade option despite it making a lot of sense on paper

Sixers get OG Anuboby

Pistons get Tobias Harris

Raptors get Jaden Ivey, Marving Bagley, Clippers 2028 first

We have a golden opportunity to use Detroit to offload Tobias & use their young assets to land a 3rd guy.

Obviously things aren’t going well in Detroit and Ivey’s value certainly isn’t at its highest…but I can’t imagine Detroit is looking to dump him for a guy that likely won’t be playing for them after 3 months. They’d have to recoup some kind of 1st at least, maybe throw in Springer as well.
I’d imagine they are looking for vets to mentor their young talent, not trade their young talent for an expiring vet.

Honestly, that means very little in a league with only 30 teams. Players with more stature have gone back to coaches with real beef.

They are clearly a very dumb & poorly managed team so we should try to strike when the iron is hot. I have no idea what a trade would end up looking like but I would try very hard to do business with them before the deadline.

Tobias should want that too because they’ll probably give him a horrible contract because he’s a respectable vet.

I still don't see us trading Tobias Harris. Not that I am opposed to it. I just think he's a big part of our team chemistry like it or not.
