JJ is running a 3 man multiple action with Reaves, LeBron, and Luka, it reminds me of a variation he used to run with himself, Ben, and Embiid.

Randle and Reid are weak alternative scoring options after Anthony Edwards.
He's been decent when given 20-29 minutes. I don't think they picked him thinking he'd be a major contributor in the playoffs this year. I had my apprehension with him due to size and FTr, but I think he'll be a decent PG at some point.

OKC better not forget, however, they are working at a instant disadvantage versus LAL or GSW.

Tobias Harris doing what he does in the postseason. He'll start out fine in game one, by game two He'll make a few costly mistakes and get all passive, by game three he will completely disappear, zero points at halftime and it'll only get worse from there. Detroit fans will turn on him by game five after he checks out. Look I like Tobias. Always have, but he has never been able to overcome the mental hurdles of playoff basketball. I have always rooted for him, but what his current collapse in this specific game three tonight is exactly why we had to be done with him.

May I know why you think that’s the case? I believe OKC is superior to both teams.

It’s tough to win playoff games when your center lacks bounce and doesn’t play with high energy for the entire game.
A lot of the playoffs come down to a scoring battle between alphas and floor spacers, while the supporting casts generate extra possessions and force lower quality looks for the opponent.

Jokic
0–3 ft: 72 FG%
3–10 ft (40% of FGAs): 60 FG%
10 ft to <3PT: 50+ FG%
SGA
0–3 ft: 72 FG%
3–16 ft: 50+ FG%
If you’re not a stepback 3 god like Anthony Edwards or Jayson Tatum (both with 50% 3PTr), you need to be elite at the rim (around 70%) and in the mid-range (50%+).
And if you’re not quite at that level, you better be close, so your supporting cast can make up the difference by generating extra possessions and lowering the quality of your opponent’s looks. And the best position to play that role is the center position.

The Grizzlies are discovering a 2 point guard, double big lineup similar to the Cavs. Meanwhile, the Thunder are playing like they’re not even trying to win, almost as if the league rarely lets a sweep happen.

What a disaster for the Grizzlies. Kinda makes me glad we have Maxey and McCain in the event one of them went down in a playoff series.

Here are a few standout quotes from the Ringer article on Nikola Jokic that highlight his underrated defensive brilliance and elite basketball IQ:
"He was calling out our play when we’re in mid-play, and we’re like, bro, we can’t run our play because he’s telling everybody, putting people in positions where we can’t run our play." - Mike Conley
"He sees the game two passes ahead—not just on offense, but on defense too. He knows where the ball wants to go."
"Jokic may not be a shot-blocker, but he closes passing lanes like he’s reading your thoughts."
"When Jokic calls out a coverage, teammates listen. He’s orchestrating not just the offense, but the entire court."
"Watch Jokic on a pick-and-roll. He doesn’t hedge or drop blindly—he adapts based on the guard’s tendencies, like he’s studied their habits for years."
Pretty interesting read tbh

Please stop. I'll be thrilled if McCain becomes a reliable rotation guard or better yet a microwave 6th man type player.
