Sixers would be hard capped at the 2nd apron, but that's completely manageable.

Maxey/Jakucionis/Butler
Grimes/McCain/Walker
Murphy/Oubre
Grant/Edwards/35
Drummond/Bona/(Embiid)

POR has to take this.

And what if I expanded it slightly?

MIA gets PG and Council
NOP gets Wiggins, Rozier, EG, 3, and 20
PHI gets Murphy, Grant, and 7
POR gets McCollum and Payton

Going to expand this out a little as well.

BKN gets P Williams and 3
CHI gets Embiid and 26
PHI gets CamJ, Vuc, Smith, 8, 26 POR 1st lotto protected, and 28 1st returned

Maxey/McCain/Butler

We'd be hard-capped at the 1st apron, so we would maybe have to find a taker for Drummond.

Embiid for Kuminga and Draymond?

Crazy enough it could work.

Yea I mean Kuminga is already on the way out, it's just a matter of where. I imagine Draymond has worn out his welcome. Even if not, his value isn't all that right now. Golden State is still going to want to compete. Plus, Curry and Jimmy are both boys with Embiid. I'm sure they'd sign off.

Edit: another version, plus pretend a separate trade-up for Harper on draft day.

CHI gets: Moody
GSW gets: Embiid, Oubre
PHI gets: Kuminga, Draymond, Smith, 2027 GSW 1st, 2032 GSW 1st swap

Harper/McCain/Butler
Maxey/Grimes/Gordon
Kuminga/Edwards/Council

Kyle Oldbeck suggested Coulibaly and 6 for 3 on the Bodcast. Thoughts?

You gotta take at least one of the 1sts out, though. Probably both. There's not going to be a team willing to pay that much for Embiid.

The Chicago offer I came up with is probably right about the max even a desperate locked in the middle no FAs ever team would go. Expiring, bad contract, youngish guy, lotto protected 1st.

Meh, I disagree. I think traditionally you've been lower on our assets/players than what they go for.

Not that it's the only way to win, but it should be noted the two teams playing in the final have some of the deepest rosters in the League.

If we could swap PG for younger talent/depth, we should do it...

Crazy thought, would anyone be on board with PG for Wiggins, Robinson, Jovic, and MIA's #20?

Miami probably only does that if they find a way to trade for Gianiis and "go all in".

PHI In: McCollum, Herb Jones, #7

NOP In: PG, #3

Why Philly: McCollum would start w/ Maxey and only has 2 years left on his deal. Herb Jones would start at SF for us. We still retain a top 10 draft pick.

Why NOP: They move up to get "their guy" at #3 and consolidate players for a "star" to pair with Murray and Zion.

I kinda considered it stealing from NOP, but there has to be a significant price to move up from 7 to 3.

POR turning Grant's 3/100 into CJ's 1/30' with no assets added is an unequivocal win. And the Sixers have no use for CJ.

PHI turning PG's 3/150 into Grant's 3/100 also feels like a win, especially considering that they can certainly use Grant and aren't losing that much on the court vs PG, plus they're getting Trey Murphy to boot.

If any team declines it’s NOP.

PHI In: Brandon Miller, #4

CLT In: Oubre, Drummond, #3

Charlotte moves up to get ASS, who replaces Brandon Miller. Add vets.

Philly still gets one of "their guys" and adds a starting SF.

MIL In: Bam, Herro, PG, Miami #20, Miami '31 FRP

PHX In: Lilliard, Miami '27 FRP, Miami '29 FRP

MIA In: Giannis, Durant

PHI In: Wiggins

Why MIL: Let Giannis go to a contender, restock with starters and picks.

Why PHX: Swap Durant and Lilliard and Picks

Why PHI: Swap PG for Wiggins, add $23MM of cap roomy (Able to resign both Grimes and Yabu)

Why MIA: Go "all-in" while Boston resets

Spurs #2 & #14, for

Sixers #3 & LAC 2028 top 6? protected, Sixers 2031 unprotected(?), Drummond & Ricky Council (or Eric Gordon).

Sixers pick Harper & whoever is your best available/best fit @ 14 (Cedric Coward for example ;) )

The below figures are from AI search. I haven't personally checked further:
- Drummond + Gordon: Frees $2,630,600 in salary.

- Drummond + Council: Frees $1,361,640 in salary.

Both options keep the Sixers above the cap but increase apron flexibility.
