Reverse question: why hasn't he signed yet?

Maybe it's nothing, maybe it's someting.

The question is not what the Nets would want but what Harden wants. He has a PO this summer.

I think he is having at least a second thought about re-signing with the Nets and the awkward situation with irving for sure doesn't' help the Brooklyn's desires.

Even if the Nets trade Kyrie, the situation is at worst he would not play for one season or retire.

Given that, if the Nets decide to trade Kyrie they're gonna get a big haul, they're still a contender whatever it happens. Why would Harden want to leave?

Hell, even without Kyrie they're super stacked. And if Kyrie retires the team regain a lot of flexibility and can add even more depth.

Harden would be an idiot to leave.

No he’s saying Harden might want out now.

James harden and Kevin Durant are good but besides that the rest of the roster is basically hot garbage.

Sorry but what???

They have a lot of upside players in Brown, Claxton and possible Thomas. Have huge veterans on minimum contracts and one of the best shooters in the league.

What are you even saying right now. Their roster is great considering they have basically 3 max slots used

Kyrie isn't going to retire. He'll get the shot and then come back and say some weird Kyrie **** and blame the media and move onto his next misadventure lol.

Nets would be so much better off turning Kyrie into Simmons or another quality player or 2

Not only is Kyrie a nut but he also misses a lot of games

This.

But i was trying to show that even in the case he retires the Nets are still positioned to be a contender for several seasons.

Apparently you haven't been a witness to the greatness that is the RealGM Draft board.

I'm afraid that if we don't trade him soon, our own team might expose that Ben having the most assisted three pointers last year wasn't actually an impressive feat; especially from someone who doesn't look to score and has the ball in their hands all the time.

Go to google and look at winning percentages of general managers since the year 2007

Harden stuff seems like Stephen A nonsense. Maybe if things fall apart for whatever reason something can happen in the summer.

SAS has sources but probably not within the Nets. IIRC he said they were going to the Knicks...and then didn't and now he has been throwing shots every chance he gets.

Its his job to get clicks and eyes on him...its why he is on 24/7 lol.

I could see a situation where if Harden decides to explore free agency, Brooklyn trades him at the deadline. They can’t have both Kyrie and Harden leave for nothing.

The longer the Kyrie situation drags out, the more likely Harden would want to leave IMO. Despite the “strip club” jokes, I do think Harden is serious about the game and not a fan of drama.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

I wouldn't at all assume Kyrie is going to take the path of least resistance to keep getting those checks. I think it's far safer to assume the opposite.

Everyone likes to talk about Simmons having no value... Kyrie is way past Ben on the "cratering your own value" chart.

Surprisingly, this is one of the few times where Philly would be the calm after the storm
