Tank starting early this year.

I'm not sure they have to tank that much to lock up a top pick TBH.

Kings opting to sit two vets per game means tanking. Good news for us. Good for the lakers pick in 2018 and Kings pick in 2019.

Recently, WCS and Bogdan are playing well.

Hawks will be pretty formidable once they dump Ilyasova, Bellinelli etc

And helps our race to the 4 seed as we play Charlotte 4 times after the trade deadline.

Shockingly Miami is the 4 seed right now, and we are only 3 games behind them. Also have to play them 3 times in February and Milwaukee 4 times, so home court in the first round is there for the taking if we can take care of business against the teams directly ahead of us, and beat up on the teams assuredly to tank after the break.

The got the W against Boston

Seems like the pick is coming our way. Hope it will be around 7-8 instead of 10-11.

Massive win against the Celtics. Facing Chicago, Orlando, Brooklyn and Phoenix in the next 6 games, they might create a gap between them and the 5th seed.

 You'd think Danny Ainge would have told the Team to win this game especially hahaha seriously though Lakers have looked good lately I'm hoping its no worse than the 10th pick and the player ends up better than MCW lol

Lakers at 9 in backwards standings, 2.5 games ahead of 5th place. Seems to be getting safe.

I think they have a tough spate of games the next few weeks, but given all the tanking going on around them, yes, the pick is looking pretty good to transfer right now.

Just had a look at the schedule - 9 of 11 on the road up until the start of March but there's games against the Kings, Suns, Nets etc in there. The pick could conceivably fall outside the top 10 by the time the lottery comes around, fingers crossed we get some luck in the lottery and it transfers as a good pick.

Are people actually still rooting for the Lakers to win? We should be rooting for as many losses as possible. There's no shot they end up bottom 5, never was.

The Grizz are obviously now firmly in tank-mode, pick will likely be ~ 10th if we're lucky pre-lottery.

Well, the lakers are getting blowout by orlando. Imao

will magic jhonson pull the trigger and trade clarkson and randle?
I mean, they are not stars but it will make their roster even weaker.

I don't think thay they want to give boston a top 5 pick and it's not looking likely right now that they can land an star in the next FA.

With the blatant tanking that is already starting around the league, there is virtually no chance the Lakers finish bottom 6. Therefore we want them to lose as many games as possible.

well I agree with you, but they are just awful. Lonzo is out tho

We will see in the next days what teams embrace the hard tank.

Too early to root for Lakers to lose?

I count 15 away games and 12 at home remaining. There's some cake in there amid some tough matchups for them. I think its safe to start rooting for them to win given quite a lot of the league will be putting a staged battle between Panzers and Shermans to shame pretty soon.
