Gotta capitalize on how JRich and Horford look without Ben/Jo. Don’t see a lot of trade partners for Tobias, so they (along with the OKC pick) will be our best trade chips. Thybulle too if it’s for someone who unquestionably puts us over the top.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards

Think this is a logic trade that both teams would be interested in. Because of the fact that Buddy's contract is one year more, I think we could demand another piece (Bjelica for our OKC pick) and then salaries would fit.

This trade would bolster our shooting big time, but we will be left without some sort of decent back-up for Joel.

I would even throw Zhaire Smith and couple of 2nd round picks for this to work out.

Embiid/Pelle
Harris/Scott
Richardson/Korkmaz
Hield/Thybulle
Simmons/Milton

To me, that's better than we have right now with Horford.
After all, it would be we changed Saric for Harris, Redick for Hield, RoCo for J-Rich.

it's tough to make salaries work in a horford for hield trade. it would have to be a much bigger deal like horford & zhaire for hield, barnes, & bjelica. horford's salary is that much more than hield's.

Check the numbers. 4 million differential next season. That's not much.
But I would throw in sweeters into the deal (picks, Zhaire) to get Bjelica.

I think Hield works in the lineup for a number of reasons. JJ actually mentioned him on the Pod with Embiid when Jo asked about who else in the NBA could play the JJ role with him in the 2 man game.

High volume, high percentage 3pt shooter. Can dribble and pass better than JJ. Not a defender by any means, but also not afraid to take any shot any time. If he could successfully work the 2 man game with Embiid, they could form an unstoppable offensive duo for the next 4 years.

In this case though, I'd want to also trade Tobias and JRich for a true 3&D SF and a 3&D PG so that there are catch and shoot guys all around Ben and Joel.

Maybe target Bojan Bog from Utah or Joe Ingles, or both? Maybe Schroder at PG? Not sure how the trades would work but I'd love to see a 9 man rotation of:

Embiid
Simmons/Ingles
Bojan/Korkmaz
Hield/Thybulle
Schroder/Shake

I don't mind Tobias. I mean, I mind his contract, and would prefer he was more of a quick trigger/better 3 point shooter, but I think he's a good starter and a pretty good fit with Ben and Jo if you've got a normal backcourt. If he wasn't on the team, I think he's a guy we'd be targeting.

I'm not opposed to trading him, I just think that contract completely torpedoes his value.

A Horford/Hield based deal would help the offense a ton (and make Joel a happy man if they could get on the same page with some of the JJ package).

Wonder if you could get Reggie Jackson or DJ Augustine for the tax payer MLE if you offered him a starting spot?

Jackson | Hield | Harris | Simmons | Embiid

Feels like a normal basketball lineup. Try to develop Shake to be the PG of the future. Still got JRich as a trade piece or 6th man for the moment.

What about getting Hield for Horford, AND sending Harris to Chicago for LaVine?

Richardson to Brooklyn for Prince?

Embiid
Simmons
Prince
Hield
LaVine

Other pieces obviously involved but this would be the basis.

I don't think that's a very complimentary backcourt, but sure, I'd take LaVine for Harris. Not sure why Chicago would swap a younger, cheaper player though.

Not sure why you'd want Prince.

Harris for CP3 might be a better, more realistic option.

Chris Paul
Buddy Hield
Josh Richardson/Matisse Thybulle
Ben Simmons
Joel Embiid

Now that's a team I could see winning a championship.

Why would Chicago trade LaVine for Harris when it's an obvious downgrade and they already have Otto Porter?

harris stats for the last 60games (right after his 0% 3pointer slump): 20/6.6/3.1, 47% from the field, 39% from three at 5 attempts. He delivers.

EXACTLY..but those who are against Tobias were very salty about the trade and prefer to have kept the "superstar" that is Landry Shamet and a first round pick that wasn't anywhere near the lottory positions smh.

The OKC pick is no longer hypothetical. Nice trade chip.

Harris and Porter don’t play the same position. The Sixers ought to consider using Ben at the 3, though. Jo, Harris?, Ben, and a couple of actual guards.

They are both too slow to defend 3s, so they generally are the 4s. Tobias is only starting out at 3 because Horford is starting.

Them playing together seems like a disaster that doesn't further what the Bulls are trying to do.

He should be ecstatic with his role. He gets to play 30+ minutes and jack up nearly 10 threes per game without playing a lick of defense.
