They just acquired John Salmons...they have that talented SF

I think he means someone that will still actually be there long-term.

So trading a lottery protected 1st and Cassipi for Hickson is a bad deal in some peoples opinion? I do not agree.

What's the deal with Hickson? Why do people like this guy? He's not a kind of PF you want to start if you're gunning for the championship. He's not a good rebounder nor a good defensive PF. He's not even that good of a scorer. In my eyes, he's just a back-up PF.

I agree with this because I don't see Cassipi as a starter while Hickson has been a starter (on a lousy team) & should be one in the future. The lottery protected pick evens this out somewhat but it may be a while before Cleveland collects it.

Your under-estimating the Kings ability to suck. Cavs may never see that pick.

Based on how far apart the owners and players seem to be in discussions, none of us may ever see that pick.

Hickson is a good fit as a P&R finisher to work off of Jrue, Turner and Iguodala (if he is here.) People may have over-rated Hickson when lebron was around, but he is now under-rated by some simply becuase he could not carry a terrible team.

hickson is the kind of player who works well off of others drawing the defense. He is not an elite Iso player. And on the Cavs last year he had garbage teammate who could not run a P&R or draw defenders, so he struggled. And yet his per 36min numbers were still 17.6pts, 11.1 reb. I thinks he would be great on the Sixers, who have a ton of players who can break down their man and draw the defense. He is exactly the type of agile, athletic finisher that this team currently lacks.

And I'm even more bummed they didn't take D. Jordan, although that would have been considered a reach at that point. It would have been nice to have the last laugh though.

Might as well conclude this by adding McGee. The FO has been pretty good at drafting with mid-round picks but not that year.

We really don't have anything else to talk about other than comparing the merits of JJ Hickson & Mareese Speights? I guess it's refreshing not to talk about Iguodala for once.
