I notice a gunner mentality. He loves to look for his shot and get his. That's a little concerning to me. I'm not ready to call him selfish and an empty stat guy yet. I like him and his game and I would take him with our second pick at this moment should we get that pick. I just see some warning signs that give me a slight pause.

I only saw the 1 Duke game against UNLV and what I saw was Kennard would really only pass to Greyson (if he passed at all). So I really dont blame Tatum.

Jayson Tatum is flashing 2-way ability that could put him in play for the #1 pick. Looking forward to seeing how the season plays out with him. If he can continue to defend at a high level while possessing a jumper, he could 1-up Josh Jackson.

I like Tatum but he's more Pierce than Melo. Melo is brutally strong.

I can see some Pierce in his game too. He's a very talented scorer regardless of who you want to compare him to. I've only seen highlights though, so I have no idea how good his defense is.

This description doesn't seem right base on the couple games he's played. Maybe you mean that he tends to play iso-ball and ball-stops sometimes? That's true but he's definitely not a 'gunner'--those guys take long difficult shots and have too much confidence, while Tatum tends to take shots right in his comfort zone and is a fairly willing passer. He just takes a little too long now making his iso moves.

Don't get me wrong. I like Tatum. This was based on one game I watched. I like that he has a scorer's mentality. It just seemed when he got the ball he looked for his shot a lot. I'm not in a red flag area yet. Just something I noticed.

He has small forward skills too. The question is whether or not he is the style of player that we want or not. If he is the BPA when the Lakers pick happens then I'm down with Tatum.

Good list. This is why I'm not sweating the Lakers pick if they start winning. I just want the pick to convey.

Tatum's an excellent rebounder too. With Embiid/Simmons/Tatum we'd be beastly on the defensive glass.

What 2nd round picks, if any, do the Sixers have in the 2017 draft?

Shame that we don't have our second. Thank Jerry The Snake for that one.

Tatum does rebound very well and is a good defender. The only thing with Tatum is his off ball movement has a lot to be desired. Jackson works off the ball much better at the moment. With that said his scoring skill set would work perfectly with those two guys. It all depends if he can get better off the ball.

This Ohio State/U.C.L.A. game is fun.

Did Matta promise this Potter dude he would start while he was recruiting him? Trevor Thompson being on their bench makes no sense.

Four straight games of 20+ points for PJ Dozier. Talked about him earlier, especially with Thornwell suspending.

6'6. Soph. Read a 7'0 wingspan somewhere, but I'm not sure how reliable that number is. And for as good has he's been on the offensive end, he's better on defense (78 DRtg, 6.5 DBPM, 5.1 STL%). Definitely someone I'm interested in. Should continue to shoot up the draft boards.

Also, I'm not exactly sure how Caleb Swanigan isn't being talked about more in draft circles. 6'9 with a ridiculous wingspan (7'3.5) 15 ppg, 11 rpg, 3 apg. Has a very solid shot and he's just a sophomore. If I'm looking for a PF in the first round (late lottery and beyond), I'd definitely take a long look at him.

Lunchpail forwards never get love. Ethan Happ is arguably the best player in college basketball and he's ghost on draft boards.

This UNC/ UK game is going to be high scoring.

Monk is unconscious today.

Monk look like he going for 50. Fox going for 30. UNC's Berry may throw up 30 as well.

I've never seen a more effortless scorer in my life than Monk. He needs to work on drawing contact, but, and excuse the Sixer reference, he wakes up and averages 20 ppg.
