Think it's safe to say it will be around 9-11. Utah, Detroit and Clippers are still in the hunt for play-offs and already 5 W's above the Lakers.

That will put us in the Mikal Bridges/Kevin Knox/Colin Sexton/Robert Williams/Wendell Carter sweepstakes

All of them would have a place on our team I think.
Prefer Carter (if still available) or Sexton

Order of guys who should be available from 8-12:

1)Mikal B.
2)SGA
3)Carter
4)Sexton
5)Miles B.

Really hoping Mikal gets through to the Sixers. We should be rooting for the Lakers to basically lose out now.

I think that's a little high for SGA. Given we've just given away another Duke center I would be gobsmacked if we drafted another one given we're already set there in terms of our starter, although I think Carter will go around there. Agreed we should be looking at Mikal Bridges first given how desperately short of talent we are on the wings right now.

So utah, clippers and charlotte haven't made any tank move.
The bottom eight even nine(Knicks) it's locked at this point.

We are talking about an 10-11 pick depending on charlotte.

Yea, their moves today will also put them in tank mode even though they don't own their pick.

Tough to see them moving past Charlotte, but should be right there with NY at 9-10.

Say the Sixers end up with #9 and #15 pick in the first round of the draft. It will probably matter what teams are ahead of the Sixers and where they pick, but does trading #9 and #15 get you in the #5-#7 range? Just curious.

Yeah, we'll trade up for a player who'll forget how to run

maybe, I don't think that 9-10 plus 15 gets you in the top five of this draft because is top heavy.
we should make a deal like this if we could get JJJ, the thing is that maybe a gm falls in love with him and would rather pick him than trade down.

I think we have enough ammo to go get someone outside of the top 3 if we REALLY like them. Which is almost all you can ask for.

So if the Hornets are not tanking we're sort of in a race to have the 10th/11th pick, giving the Celtics something like a 3 - 5% chance of getting the pick conveyed to them at 2 or 3 overall. I think probably this puts us just out of reach of Mikal Bridges and definitely out of the Jaren Jackson sweepstakes.

Edit: 9th: 4.4% chance it goes to the Celtics
10th: 2.9%
11th: 2.1%

Obviously there's also a very slim chance we get 1st overall and an improbable (but not that unlikely) chance we can jump a spot in the order and a very very improbable chance we jump two spots in the order.

All up the pick is now very likely to convey to us and if that happens this is a great draft to have a lottery pick in.

Definitely rooting against LA the rest of the way out. We still have a chance of getting Mikal Bridges if we land the 9th pick. To me he's the next all-star to be selected late in the lotto.

We probably should be rooting for the Hornets today, but as others have mentioned elsewhere its a big night of games for us in terms of potential playoffs as well.

Kind of funny that isiah thomas will probably be the guy that prevents the LAL pick from conveying to the celtics.

Dont need It for it to convey. IT will try to make that pick non-lotto. Oh my

Yeah getting kind of late would be nice to see the LAL lose a bunch. They rank 11 currently and could rise as high as 8th and we'd still be guaranteed the pick. Ideally they would finish 6th

Not quite guaranteed - obviously the lower they finish the more chance it conveys to the Celtics, if they finish 6th last I'm pretty sure there's a better than 50% chance it conveys to the Celtics.

Edit: I have that wrong, a much lower chance it conveys to Boston
