You’d be better off getting the 30yo Chris Boucher, he’d be cheaper. You dont need that upside anyway.

Yes, they did, but they're going to want a first. Probably multiple, but remember they don't really want to tank. They just know they can't resign these guys.

So what about someone who is locked in on a contract plus a first round pick?

Tobias and '29 1st to POR
Grant and Hart to PHI
Winslow and CHA 2nd to SA

Cue JRoy and the "POR respectfully declines"

Sorry, JRoy, Tobias is destined to be a Blazer.

Pass for POR. Scrubs and SRP don’t get it done.

Why has Hart regressed so much in the scoring department from last year?

He's just taking far fewer shots-- much more in line with his earlier career average-- which I'm guessing is because Lillard and Simons were both out at the latter part of last season, when Hart joined the Blazers, whereas now they're both playing and taking a lot of shots.
(Edit: with Lillard being the bigger part of the explanation, since it looks as if Hart played a bit with Simons when Hart was first traded to Portland. But check out this box score from March.)

It might be that, but he is also passing off on shots. Not sure if it is a confidence issue or something else. Still a very useful player.

I don't watch their games so I was just going off of the stats. I edited my post above to include this box score from March. He scored 44 points (31 points a game later),. putting up 21 shots, with no Simons or Lillard. Watford scored a lot in those two games, too, and took a lot of shots, and his scoring is way down this season too. But as I say, I don't watch their games.

Man I can’t believe Hart might be attainable. Will be interesting to see what he gets trade for, if at all.

Also warming up a lot to Kyle Anderson, but I haven’t seen any smoke around his name.

Sounds like Portland wants to resign Grant and keep him.

This is a tune I have heard before.

POR respectfully declines. POR could not possibly deny the city of brotherly love its foremost lovely brother.

I honestly wouldn't trade Tobias at this point. He's been great. We're not going to get equal value and a salary dump would be a waste of time.

Portland hasn't had a top 10 defense since 2018. That year, they had Harkless (21.4 mpg) and Aminu (30 mpg) playing major F minutes for them.

They should have signed Kyle Anderson.
They should be interested in flipping Jerami Grant for OG Annunoby.
They should be calling New Orleans about what it would take to get Herbert Jones.
They should be calling Houston about what it would take to get Tari Eason.

Give Dame some defensive help and see what he can do in the playoffs.

I want another shot creator, two way wing and a big man. I'm asking for 3 bench players who are capable of doing more than one thing. I'm not asking for much.

Thybulle, Milton, Niang, Reed, Furkan,House, Springer, Hornets 2nd round pick.

It makes no sense to trade for anyone who's handling the ball for any real amount of time. Harden runs the offense whenever he's on the floor. No one we can bring in will run the offense as efficiently as Shake, Maxey does. And with our "assets" we're not bringing in someone who will make much of a difference. I'd be more interested in the 2-way wing or big man.

I think we’re locked into the current roster. The team is very good so no major shakeups needed. I imagine we’ll just take our chances with the buyout market.

You want to give up Niang and Milton? Thybulle has been playing better and I have a soft spot for Reed.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

I just don't see a playoff rotation upgrade that we have the assets to acquire.

Is there a secondary playmaker who is a more willing shooter than Shake Milton that can be acquired for cheap?

Alec Burks kinda fits that description. He didn't play well for us in the fake bubble playoff, but he's playing really well this year for Detroit.

Do I want to? no. Would I? yes

I don't really care what some of these guys are doing in the regular season.

Only Milton gives me some confidence playing them in the playoffs.

I like Reed too, but we all know Doc will play Harrell; therefore I'd rather trade Reed to get someone better than Harrell.
