Maxey’s contract is the reason I’m entertaining the trade. If McCain and Maxey were switched, I’d likely say the same for McCain. I’m also fine with keeping both and just having the other three positions be larger players to cover defensive deficiencies.

I know Maxey can cover his defensive position...I think McCain can get there, and Grimes can too.

I don't think any of them can carry trash offensively and compete the same defensively.

Up by 5 with like 30 seconds left.

Damn fine tankers.

And the Nets schedule gets easier, but it’s still more difficult than ours. And while they had some very winnable games, we will prob win more than them because Grimes is preventing any real scoring droughts.

Sadly agree. I would bet literal thousands of dollars on them finishing lower than us, and I’m a chicken with sports betting.

Box score says… young dudes played well and we still got the L. Excellent tanksmanship.

The upcoming schedule is terrible. All bad teams for the next couple weeks. The Sixers could win several of these games if they continue to play the roster as is. And they've been saying Maxey is close to returning. If that isn't posturing and they plan to squeeze him back in at the end of the season... if he comes back they will win most of them.

"We need good shots. Every single shot has to be a dunk or a wide open 3. Anything else, and you're benched for the game. No questions asked. Got it?"

That will lead to so many shot clock violations. Law of unintended intended consequences.

Nurse said not too long ago they hope to get him back soon and he could play very soon. Could be posturing but if he comes back kiss the lottery odds goodbye.

I mean, we were losing a bunch with Maxey too, but yeah this will be the dumbest team in league history if we do that.

I know every other fan base in our division has a let's hate Philly boner. but man if not us, I wouldn't mind at all if the Nets won the lottery. They actually suck and are at least out there competing

Raptors down 30 to the Spurs with Barnes and Barrett playing. Better chance we move down than up imo. Or however you want to put it.

Sit Grimes tomorrow against Pelicans. Truly a must-lose game.

With the way Brooklyn and Toronto are skidding, I'm not sure we can afford to win even one more game the rest of the way to maintain that 5th lottery slot.

In terms of remaining SOS:

Philadelphia 29th
Toronto 30th
Brooklyn 26th

One pro is that Brooklyn and Toronto still have to play each other twice, so that's at least one win for each guaranteed, if not two for one of those teams.

We play Toronto once more down the stretch along with the Wizards twice and the Pelicans once.

Zion playing should assure another loss.

This is becoming too close for comfort. I for sure thought Toronto would be more competitive than this with their starters, sans Ingram, playing. They have a lot of money locked up in Barnes/Quickly/Ingram.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Barlow/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

Not sure if that's a typo or bad joke at the end but Zion's still a sick player when he's healthy. Unbelievable talent and force of nature, just can't stay on the court (or not look like an idiot off it).

For us, bro.

Zion's been playing at an All-NBA level this season when he's been on the court.

Desperately need him to show up tomorrow and prove the doubters wrong.

Tomorrow night is like a playoff game 7 in terms of tanking. Raptors play the Bullets and Raptors play the Mavs. We need a loss to New Orleans and I think we get it done. CJ always cooks us and hopefully Zion plays. Toronto should beat Washington which would give us some breathing room and you have to hope Brooklyn cam somehow get it done against Dallas.
