Monk as a Freshman is already better than Buddy Heild was as a Senior. Monk can actually dribble the basketball, so he should be able to get to spots to get shots up in the league.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

This could end up being a rough second half for UNC. Bradley and Meeks have 2 fouls. Hicks with 3.

Lunchpail forwards are really hard to project. I mean who would have ever thought that Malik Rose would have the career that he had? Or someone like Nazr Mohammed, or even David West?

I've never seen a more effortless scorer in my life than Monk. He needs to work on drawing contact, but, and excuse the Sixer reference, he wakes up and averages 20 ppg.

I love Monk too.

My wet dream is Dennis Smith with the Lakers pick because I think he is going to be a star, but Monk is my second choice.

Agreed. Plus he is a better athlete, and projects as a much better defender.

I was saying yesterday that maybe Isaac deserves to be talked about in the top 7, and maybe Monk makes it 8.

In the sense that drafts are usually talked about in terms of 2 man drafts, or 3 man drafts, this one could be an 8 man draft.

For example, Monk is a better prospect than Olidipo, who went 2nd in his draft. Monk could go 8th in this one.

embiid should be a star...simmons hopefully is one too....you probably want fultz too with the expectations that he too will be a star...now you want smith because you think he'll be a star ....this experiment that is called the process won't work with all 5 players wanting to be stars...there's something like diminishing returns involved..they sixers should look to pick the best players to complement embiid and simmons and this may imply that we won't necessarily draft BPA

I prefer Ball and Jackson to Fultz today, but I take your point.

I'm saying that we always want to draft stars even if they eventually are traded for fit. Stars are the most valuable assets in the NBA.

I think that Smith could EASILY be as good of a player as Lilard, or John Wall, and the idea of getting someone like that with Lakers pick is a dream pick value wise.

Hey, Monk rocks too! I'm not sure that I see star though with him.

Monk is going to get much better when he puts on some weight and continues to work on his handle. His handle isn't necessarily bad, but it's not a point guard's handle by any means. He did just put that guy on skates and finished at the rim.

i love ball and i also think he's the optimal fit for philly a low usage high IQ impact player who'd blend seemlessly with simmons and embiid..even if i thought fultz was better(i don't) id draft ball without hesitation

Roy Williams is insane. One guy is scoring all the points and he goes zone. Put a box and one on Monk with Jackson.

That sh.. wouldn't work. They aren't playing the Dartmouth. If they go box and one, then everybody else on the team goes crazy. He just gotta hope the guy starts missing 27 footers.

This is the answer. Look at what Briscoe and Fox has been doing to them all game despite the zone. This is an elite slashing team with one, possibly two good shooters.

I like Monk. Not as much as Fultz and Dennis Smith, but I like him. If we could get one of the former and Monk with the LAL pick, I'll have a boner until 2018.

I really like what I saw from Monk today.
