I'm good with this roster. It's championship level.

It’s also the closest we’ve ever been so going all in for 1-2 more guys makes more sense than ever. Get me a 4 that can play well with pj at the 5 bench lineups

Thybulle, Milton, Niang, Reed, Furkan,House, Springer, Hornets 2nd round pick.

You want to give up Niang and Milton? Thybulle has been playing better and I have a soft spot for Reed.

Do I want to? no. Would I? yes

I don't really care what some of these guys are doing in the regular season.

Only Milton gives me some confidence playing them in the playoffs.

I like Reed too, but we all know Doc will play Harrell; therefore I'd rather trade Reed to get someone better than Harrell.

True on Doc. But your willing to trade George "bang bang " Niang at this juncture? The man is money of the bench and fits in well on the team.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

I'd like an upgrade at wing and a bench PG

DFS might be available for the right player. I would do Harris/Thybulle for DFS/Bertans/Powell in a heartbeat on paper. It shakes up the core so maybe too aggressive of a move given how we’re playing.

Harden/Milton/Springer
Melton/Maxey/Korkmaz
DFS/House/Bertans
Tucker/Niang/Reed
Embiid/Harrell/Powell

Doesn’t solve our rebounding but an interesting move nonetheless.

Wait, why do we like Dorian Finney Smith? Is this just a salary dump?

I think he’s a better defender than Harris, and yes, salary. Not a home run by any means but could be an avenue out of his contract.

Fwiw I wouldn’t do it because it’s not a clear upgrade and we’d be sacrificing some pretty great chemistry lately.

Tobias has become such an excellent glue guy for this team that I’d be very hesitant to trade him. He’s a solid defender, can score against a mismatch, and he’s shooting 38% from 3 on solid volume. That’s basically the type of player we’d be trying to trade for anyway. His contract is a total non-issue at this point imo.

Sad to not see us listed as one of the teams interested in Jalen McDaniel. Would be a huge boost if we could get him for Korkmaz+. Get under the tax and get a decent wing.

Indy gets Tobias
Philly gets Theis, Hart, and Grant
Portland gets Hield, Korkmaz, BOS 1st via IND, and 2029 PHI 1st

It's been a rough January for McDaniels. His playmaking numbers are trending down and he's shot like crap (23% from three in the last 14 games).

With all the suitors in the mix driving the price up, I'm glad we're not among the bidders. He's been playing poorly and might not even be able to crack our playoff rotation.

Why would we salary dump Harris? Glancing quickly at the cap sheet, I’m not seeing any benefit to doing that. We won’t have cap space next year unless we take back only expirings (DFS and Kerberos aren’t that) AND Harden re-signs for less than expected, and even then we’d probably have less space than it takes to get someone of Harris’ talent level.

Plus Harris expires after next season so the coming summer is the only time the dump could potentially benefit us. Am I missing something?

Rumors that the Kings are interested in Matisse. Problem is that their bench sucks and I’m not sure who we’d target in return. I guess Terrance Davis? But he’s largely redundant on our team.

IF we trade Mattise Thybulle for Richaun Holmes I will explode with anger. It's not that I wouldn't trade Thybulle, I just think that if we do, it needs to be for a better player. As in, we send a package of Thybulle, Springer, maybe a draft pick to a team that is looking to rebuild and has an impact player they can offer up in exchange. Sacramento really has nothing that we should be interested in at the moment unless a three team deal can be completed.
