Stanford has this odd policy that allows discontinued students to show up for an upcoming semester with little advance notice. Other schools do this for around 10 years, but Stanford allows it for as long as you're alive.I just took a 30-some year vacation to discover myself. Was it weird to room with teenagers when I was in my late 50s? Sure. I just hope they learned as much from me as I learned from them.
