The Sixers could finish with a top 7 pick in '11, so the Clippers might want a little compensation if that doesn't happen.

I don't think the Rockets trade both Ariza and Budinger, and they seem to like Budinger more. I like Budinger hold up the trade. Another pick or player could be added in place of Budinger to make the Rockets like it more.

If we have a top 7 pick in 2011 then they can be entitled to a top 7 protected pick swap the next year we finish out of the top 7. And I really want Budinger I wouldn't accept Hill or someone like that in his place. But you're probably right the Rockets wont trade both Ariza and Budinger. That's why this is the fantasy trade thread.

I do love it. A link to the trade machine is all I ever ask for on Christmas.

I seriously hope that Jason Smith isn't the difference between acquiring Paul or not.

Any interest in jumping in to the CP3 talks to try to get Okafor?

Assuming EB is not in the mix, what would it cost talent-wise?

A combo (two or three?) of Nocioni/Williams/Kapono/Smith?

Hmmmm.... A lineup of:
C-Hawes
PF-Okafor
SF-Iguodala
SG-Turner
PG-Holiday

It may work.

It works but doesn't makes us better, Okafor is not a upgrade.

I would rather have Okafor over Brand.

Sixers out- Brand, Young, Smith
Sixers in- Diaw, Mohammed, Banks

Raptors out- Calderon, Evans, Banks
Raptors in- Brand, Young

Bobcats out- Diaw, Mohammed
Bobcats in- Calderon, Evans, Smith

We would have the worst interior defense in the league with Hawes, Diaw, and Speights getting most of the minutes at 4 and 5, but hopefully our perimeter defense would make up for it. Mohammed and Banks are expiring and Diaw expires in 2012. Without doing the math I don't think we would have max cap space in 2011 but with Kapono, Mohammed, Banks, and Green expiring I think we would have enough to sign someone like Al Horford or Kendrick Perkins. Would any of the teams involved be interested?

I like brand better than okafor but for this team id take okafor. Better defender and rebounder. And i think we have more than enough scorers on this team even without brand

Seeing how Philly has one of the highest payrolls in the NBA and you guys have Iggy playing SF, leaving Thad Young out of the loop... would you guys consider:

Young
Green
Kopono

FOR

Reggie Evans (added interior toughness; get him back to help the young guys + he's expiring)
Miami 2011 1st round pick
Toronto future 2nd round pick
TPE (approx. 9 million)

No. I do not think they are going to trade away Thad Young for nothing. He is a RFA, so they control his rights. There is no reason to dump him + 2 espirings for literally nothing.

I don't want to be hostile to fans of other teams- but I never really understand the logic of coming to another team's board and asking if that team is giving away a player you want for nothing.

We get lots of requests about whether Iguodala is being given away for cap-space. And today we get asked if Young or Jrue are available for next to nothing.

How would you respond if someone asked on the Raptors board if Bargs or Derozan was available for Willie Green and a future 29th pick? For reference, the players the Sixers will give away are : Brand, Kapono, Green and Nocioni. Anyone else would actually require making some sort of fair value trade.

We weren't top 15 last year. We might be around the 10th-12th highest this year when all is said and done, but still below the luxury tax. So the premise is questionable.

If you really want salary from Philly, taking Brand would make Calderon no longer the highest paid player there. And it could give someone to mentor Kleiza and Amir Johnson.

OKC needs to move one or more of DJ White, BJ Mullens and/or Kyle Weaver to get their roster number down to 15 or below.

SF mentioned the team liking Mullens as a developmental big man and we have roster room, room under the higher tax and a $2+ million trade exception from the Dalembert trade.

Any interest in picking up Mullens and/or one of the others for a future scond rounder? That is likely what Presti is looking for.
