Doubt it. They already lack shooting

We'll throw in Stauskas and Thompson. Shooting problem solved!

Hollis may interest them some. Don't get me wrong I'd love to get valentine and a first for Noel. Just think they backed themselves into a corner 3 point shooting wise with rondo and wade

I don't think that Stauskus and Thompson have any trade value at this point. In fact, they may even be the next two guys cut from the team.

I wouldn't mind Valentine and a top 10 protected pick for Okafor or Noel.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

How does Okafor have a future on this team with Embiid?

You already have 3 4's on this team(Simmons, Saric, Grant) and Holmes can slide to the 4 in an emergency.

He has a future for now while Embiid is on minutes restriction. I would like to see him play in preseason to see how he meshes with Saric and Embiid and Holmes though. We have so many good 4s and 5s. We are going to have some quality guys sitting on the bench for long periods of the game.

Okafor will not accept a bench role anytime soon, so we're going to have to trade him too

You don't know that. Okafor does seem like a team player. And how many teams would he start on? If he doesn't like coming off the bench then oh well. Nothing he can do about it while he's with us.

Missing again. Not present in today's practice.

Starting to feel like a Noel trade is imminent.

He is really digging his own grave. Of course, getting traded is probably what he wants at this point, but he is making it quite clear that he wants to be the one traded.

He should be careful what he wishes for though because he could be traded anywhere, and wherever he is traded, that will be the place where he is likely to be for his next contract.

Agreed. He may have betrer opportunities elsewhere around tbe league, but after an underwhelming sophomore season he's not getting a starting gig handed to him anywhere. What if he gets traded to a team that doesn't have a true PG who can set the table for him?

Plus the team that acquires him can match any offer. He can't really improve his situation by pouting.

Not to mention that pouting could have a reverse affect and actually end up prolonging his stay here instead of expediting a trade.

He's only hurting his value and BC probably isn't interested in settling on a buyers market deal just to appease Nerlens.

Thompson has some value. Stauskus has none. He'd be a perfect fit for some contender in need of 3PT shooting off the bench.

As far as Noel goes I'm sort of done with him. Get what you can for him and move on

Okafor is tied up for a few more years with us so he doesn't have a choice. If he can get 28-30 min between the 4 and the 5 then it can work.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agreed.

One thing that sort of isn't getting discussed is dependent on how Okafor develops. He plays well enough Brown is going to be forced to move Simmons off PF when he comes back.

The problem Noel has is he isn't good enough to move Embiid to the bench and more to the point he isn't developing. The worst part is he doesn't even appear to be trying to develop the weak areas of his game. You've read it on the forum all the time he is a lost cause on offense and even brown saying he doesn't care if he makes a jumpshot.

I'm sorry but when Noel was drafted I wasn't expecting Biyombo. Heck, we don't even have Biyombo because at least Biyombo rebounds. I still believe there is potential there but it won't be with us and I'm fine with that. As far as Noel goes he has noone to blame but himself.

He had the chance to separate himself the three years he's been here. Which is what people don't realize. If he was Towns we never draft Oak. I firmly believe Oak was drafted with an eye to move Noel. I think Hinkie made the same determination that he made with MCW that Noel wasn't going to develop.
