Yeah, baring a massive smokescreen, it seems Bailey doesnt want to play here  , so hes kinda forcing our hand to not draft him. Must have a promise of another team that will draft him that will let him be a "star" right away? Kinda sucks, because i wanted to draft him , and it limits our potential for trades in the draft day, since exposes for everyone that we wont draft Ace, because he wont play here?

He won't get past DC, definitely NOP. But, I still feel like it's Spurs baiting Philly to trade up and give up an asset to get Dylan rather than Spurs just taking Ace. They want Ace

Morey isn't the kinda guy that would let awkward situation prevent him from drafting the best guy possible.

Players have turned down workouts for years. You think Philly doesn't want to workout Dylan? They're trying to trade up to get him.

WTF? He canceled? I've been TeamBailey the whole way, but if he's pulling $hit like this, it has to be a major red flag. Just take Edgecombe and figure it out later. Take the guy that wants to win, take the guy that wants to be here. My gut tells me Edgecombe at this point. He might be DMelton at first, but he will evolve way beyond that.

Either way...Morey has this handled.

Ace wouldn't be the "best guy possible" on Morey's board at pick 20.

He's the least Morey-coded basketball player in the entire draft.

Yea I'm sure the analytics nerd is falling over backwards to select the low impact prospect with zero translatable high end skill to the modern game of basketball.

How many days left of Acesexual cope are we going to have to listen to?

Let’s hope that Nico Harrison gave him a promise for #1 overall and that’s why he isn’t working out for any team

And here's the third immediate counter-brief after more Ace truisms seep out.

translated from Morey himself

"Not true! If you want Ace Bailey you're still going to have to trade up to #3."

If Morey doesn’t want Ace because he thinks other guys are better, that’s fine, but I wouldn’t want to get bullied out of taking someone we thought was best available just because they refuse to workout for us. Porzingis refused to work out for us and we went with Okafor instead. Rather have just drafted Porzingis and who cares about what he or his agent say. They’ll get on board eventually.

These are legit YMCA caliber handles. No serious organization with proper talent evaluators are selecting you with prime draft capital after witnessing this in real time.

The underlying numbers are bad, the shooting indicators are bad.

Porzingis didn’t want to play on a team that just drafted two other 7fters in the top ten in back to back years. Ace would fill a position of need.

Also, Porzingis was a unicorn. Ace is a donkey.
