Re: Ben Simmons Trade Thread
Trade Simmons for a point guard or for a scoring guard. We're going to get some internal improvement out of REed, Joe, Maxey and Thybulle. Shake really soured on me this year, but it's not completely out of the question that he could get better as well. He's a decent trade chip with Simmons. Simmons/Shake/our First should get us near SGA territory.

I think we can put the top package on the board. Ben, maxey, thybulle, 3 firsts, 3 swaps, and if need be Curry to a third team for another first. Say GS for 14?

The Dame sweepstakes would be Harden but 10 fold. Could see as many as 10 teams throwing everything at Portland to win his services.

Friendly reminder that Dame's contract is one of the worst in the entire league and would ruin this decade of Sixers basketball if we acquire it.

Lillards contract is terrible, but if they have two years of him and Embiid at or around the level they were at this year I think you have to at least try.

Who cares. Sixers haven't won a title in almost 40 years, what's another 10 years if they have a chance to get a ring out of it?

The cliff is coming for Dame just like it came for Kemba. Embiid literally played on a torn miniscus this year. It's virtually impossible that he'll ever be heatlhy for a playoff run, going forward.

Dame would still be apart of my A tier acquisitions.
Just after someone like SGA who's a franchise changing talent for the next decade, but on the caliber as De'Aaron Fox (preference of age/defending/upside vs. elite guard play for the next few years). Ahead of Beal or Lavine.

Give Portland all the picks and one of Maxey or Thybulle with the addition of Ben. Hell give them both.

I agree that Embiid will probably never be healthy for a playoff run, and I would be open to moving him. Though I'd them then to try all other possible outcomes before it comes to that. We will be probably having this conversation next season.
The difference between Lillard and Kemba is that the latter had knee issues dating back to his Charlotte years. Hence why they didn't pay him. At some point this organization needs to take more of a risk, if not it will just continue to be a yoyo team.

Re: Ben Simmons Trade Thread
We just need Dame and Embiid to be healthy for one season. That’s all it takes. Look at cp3. His only issue in playoffs was his health. Never his ability. So this season. The stars are aligning (along with AD getting hurt with Suns down 2-1 and down in game 4).

I dont disagree with you about Embiid, why I would be open to moving him but I think that is a much more realistic option for next year. They just need to try to exhaust all other outcomes before doing so imo.
The difference between Lilliard and Kemba is that Kemba had knee concerns dating back to his time in Charlotte which made him fall of the cliff instead of a gradual decline. Hence why Charlotte didnt pay up. Trading for Lilliard would be a huge risk, but at the same time sometimes you need to take them. If not this team just will be stuck in the 2nd round as a yoyo team. If SGA is available Id much rather pay up for him though.

Where is all this SGA stuff coming from? And I don't see a rebuilding team taking on Simmons' massive contract.
