You tell your friends Daryl Morey hired Nick Nurse because he has intel on Zach Edey and run.

If we take Edey at #16, you might as well get a custom Sixers Randle jersey.

Because Embiid will 100% force a trade to the Knicks and we'll be stuck with Julius Randle and draft capital.

Embiid ain't forcing no trade. He doesn't have the stomach.

He could quietly request a trade and then go full mopey mode if he doesn't get it. Like the ultimate passive aggressiveness.

I don't think just drafting Edey would be enough to get him there yet, though.

If he asked to be sent to NY, and then you turned around and sent him to Memphis or wherever, I feel pretty confident he would agree after he talked to the other team and they schmoozed him up a bit.

Edey would be a good backup 5. Not sure you take that at 16 but eh.

Hope Edey kills on offense because he’s going to be abused on defense. He’s not going to solely be defending Rudy Gobert every night.

Can't wait for the Heat to draft Carrington one spot ahead of us and transform him into a perennial all star.

Just like they drafted Maxey one spot ahead of us.

Well no one is going to hit every time. And since that draft, we have zero picks to show on our current team while they have Nikola Jovic and Jaime Jaquez.

The good news is we're probably going to trade another pick for one year of Alex Caruso.

Fair enough. You can have the Heat's draft picks over the past 4 drafts and I'll take the Sixers.

So you get Nikola Jovic and Jaime Jaquez and I get Tyrese Maxey.

We can keep going farther back to 2017. They have Bam Adebayo and Herro in that time. Our haul? Zhaire Smith, Matisse Thybulle, Fultz, and Anžejs Pasečņiks.

They missed on Maxey by taking Achiuwa, but they have been tomahawk dunking on our heads in the almost every draft since 2016. I have a feeling they can squeeze the juice out of Carrington whereas Maxey was successful in spite of Doc Rivers and our organization.

I just think it's funny to act so scared of the Heat drafting 1 spot ahead of us when the exact scenario happened 4 years ago and netted us Tyrese Maxey.

I'm not scared of it, I'm just saying it's a trend that has been happening for almost a decade (obviously turning him into an allstar is a hyperbole) aside from one year where they selected one spot ahead of us.

It's kind of funny saying that the Sixers 'don't need' anything on their roster right now other than a starting center. If he's referring to Reed, I very much hope the plan is to move on from him at this point.

Trentyn Flowers measured in 6'6.5" 201 pounds and had a 42 in vertical leap. Certainly looks the part.

Seems like a far way off before he's a contributor, though. And he's a complete shot in the dark, whether or not he can learn how to shoot.

Jaylen Wells is an interesting junior in that he's very young for his class (only 20).

At the combine, measured at 6'6.5" 206 pounds.

Solid athlete with a .527 3PAr.
