Nico, don't worry about the 17th pick. That's perfect. You'll be able to staff a real solid team. Picks 12-19 usually have the most fun during this because they're picking most often. I had around 17 a few years back...had a solid team.

So, as far as the 2k sim, are you going to use the most updated rosters? Also, as far as players under contract, is this based upon this past season?

I don't know about the sim, but I will say judging is the more important thing IMO. 2k is just for **** & giggles.

I don't expect to have an attractive enough team to entice judges with the 27th pick, so I'm putting it all towards the sim.

Eellsy had a terrific team a few years back & drafted at 30. Don't wanna name drop but it was a consensus top five team.

EDIT: you may not have a superstar, but you'll have a really good 1-2 punch.

What PK said. To avoid name dropping, I'll take this to another sport. You may see Bryce Harper come off the board before you get to pick, but you'll still probably be able to take, say, Troy Tulowitzki and Cole Hamels, which the judges might see more value in than Bryce Harper and CJ Wilson.
