I get it, it's his squad but come on. That might just be the most historic turnaround in sports history

The Lakers should be battling with the Nets and Suns for worst team in the NBA next year after they strike out in free agency. Brandon Ingram isn't going to be a difference maker next year.

If the Sixers get any kind of competent NBA backcourt we should jump to 4th or 5th worst next year due to the additions of Simmons, Embiid, and Saric.

Question - can we put protection on the Sacramento '19 pick if we trade it to another team?

The salary cap increase may negatively effect the Lakers pick we hold. I can easily see Cleveland salary dumping Kevin Love on the Lakers for Julius Randle. And say the #2 pick and Russell for Boogie. The Lakers would only need to sign one good player to make themselves a contender.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

The Cavs would get FAR better offers for Kevin Love than Julius Randle straight up. They need players who can help win now if they trade Love, otherwise GM LeBron won't be pleased. The Lakers have nothing LeBron would want.

No.

It could however be traded as "Worst of Phi and Sac '19 picks"

Maybe stats can help.

In the last 70 years, there were 326 teams that finished their season with less then 25 W.
Only 14 of them added 25+ wins one year later.

It's a chance around 4% .

So it's not impossible but it's really, really hard. And it applies to the Sixers too.

Here is the full list:

Image

Franchise, wins in year X, season X, wins in year X+1, season X+1, difference in wins

You have to hope to be the 2014-2015 Bucks or the 2008-2009 Heat or the 2003-2004 Nuggets.

So with the Lakers picking Ingram, and potentially striking out on free agent deals...the Sixers faithful has to be happy to see the potential for the Lakers to be turrible next year for that lottery pick...

Sac still so dysfunctional man...

Doing research tonight for Mock Draft 10. Based on all the info I can find, the Kings only got 1 prospect ranked in our Top 30 in for a workout -- Wade Baldwin. They didn't even get medicals on most of the top 10 prospects. They've been completely shunned by agents.

We could very well get the #1 pick from the Kings again next year. They are such a Fing disaster.

Boogie is super freakin' pissed now. IMO, he will be packaged up and sold very soon (weeks). Hinkie pick swaps are beautiful and should not be traded unless its for a top 10 NBA player. I can't tell you guys how happy I am that our team can try to win now and still have a significant stake in the lottery for three more years...

It's great to be a 76ers fan!!

Imagine being the owner of an NBA team and your only goal was to see how far you can push your 275lb center before he literally snaps. Just end it, trade Boogie and tank.

I wouldn't be surprised if the NBA eventually tries to somehow limit pick swaps. They put the Stepian rule in place to protect dumb franchises against themselves. And now Hinkie and Ainge are brutalizing idiots like Divac and Billy King.

Divac may give sixers back-to-back top 5 picks just to clear cap space to sign Marco Bellinelli, who they traded after a year for the 22nd pick. lol

I have a feeling that the league favors the players getting paid that doing that would indirectly prevent it. League doesn't care if your team won't win a championship as long as you make a lot of agents and players happy.

IMO, what they should do is to stop raising the cap. That should, in theory, force teams to think twice before overpaying a FA. I don't know what's the repurcussion of paying multiple rumored joakhim noah contracts that ends up as a losing team (high player salary expense relative to team wins).
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Teams have always screwed up giving players too much money. So stop raising the cap won't prevent that, just leave teams stuck on the treadmill longer. What the league should do is allow amnesty every year. That way they can get rid of overpriced guys, they still get their salary but the teams can free cap space

Jackson at #1 (via pick swap with SAC) and
Fultz at #4.

Get the non-PF out of there in Okafor, and then we're talking. He doesn't fit in any way with that athletic, speedy, switch heavy roster anyway. Put Luwawu or whoever in at the guard position, then Jackson plays natural SF position and Simmons plays natural 4 position.

If LA doesn't get a big FA they might keep their damn pick AGAIN! They better overpay some average players so that they aren't bottom 3. :banghead:

My dream is Fultz and Tatum. One is our pick (or Kings swap), the other is LAL pick.

Embiid, Simmons, Fultz, Tatum please
