If You can get Jrue and a pick for Okafor, that would be a no brainer.

Honestly, a 2018 first is the minimum for unloading Asik.
That could be done only with cap space and the rights of some Chu Chu

I could see us absolutely fleecing the Pels if BC doesn't harp on the Jrue thing. No one is taking Asik and I could see Demps panic trading hard.

pick swap doe

Pick swap is a wing and a prayer, Kings probably won't be any worse than about 8th this year--they're reasonably talented for a bad team and don't have incentive to take (at least not beneath the 10th spot). If the Sixers stay the course, they have a great chance of being bottom 3-4, pick swap is definitely not just as good as that.

Would sixers want to expand and target buddy? Add in, let's say, a couple 2nds and the Lakers 1st with Jah, walk away with Jrue, Buddy, Ajinca, 2018 1st top 5 protected.

You're right about Sergio, though. That's the type of trash tier defense we'd be getting each night. Penetration for days. Embiid would be pissed having to clean up after him, possession after possession. We don't need him.

Im with you on this kobble, cj can score but is literally like the jahlil okafor of guards. Zero defensive awareness and possibly care on that end. With that said Would trade jah for him tho.

Also still think jah for asik and pels 1st isnt that bad of a deal itd be a 5mil more cap hit than jah.

Bigsleep, i generally agree with you on most topics, not sure if u were joking but lets not sleep on benny. If simmons went to duke or another big program i think the hype/anticipation for him to play would be even higher than it already is. Kid is a prodigy just as much as embiid is.

im not joking and its not a shot at simmons. he has superstar-potential too, but with embiid on the same roster, he will never get the title most valueable player. simmons wont anchor an entire defense like embiid. he will never shoot that good like embiid.

they both will be perennial allstars, but embiid will be always a level above everyone.

I see where your coming from, just think you might be jumping the gun. Just to play devils advocate, if simmons puts up 20ppg in a season id be willing to bet he will win an mvp. The assists will be there and rebounds will too by default.

i dont think its out of the realm for him to average 15-20ppg, 6-8 reb, 8+ assists. Not to mention he makes highlight passes routinely which you know the sports center/youtube generations will love. Lets hope they both compliment eachother and both win mvps.

On that note

okafor to pelicans

Asik + their 1st this year to sixers who waive immediately

Baboom...all jokes aside i think asik and ability to pick swap with them would work. Curious to see how the hell BC could get jrue back.

JO is gonna be a 20/10 guy for 10 years in the NBA, just not with us.

This sucks. (sucks I mean, that really we could not do any better than a late 1st round pick for him. And unlike other 'failed picks', no-one really thinks he was a bust, his team was a bust.)

I can't tell. Is this sarcasm?

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I'm kind of expecting it to not happen right now, but drawing interest from teams two-three weeks from deadline is encouraging. Could always revisit.

I can see an argument for getting Jrue now if the cost of acquisition isn't very high. Getting a chance to have team doctors get an extensive look at him and actually seeing if he's a fit before giving him a large offer in the summer would seem to have some value.

I actually think NO would be a great place for Okafor to end up. Anthony Davis is probably the best player to cover up his mess on defense while sacrificing little on offense. If it's for a pick, I image we're packaging these picks (and maybe Noel) for Paul George.

They don't really have a future with him, and we have Simmons and Embiid.

Jrue Holiday is a free agent at the end of this season right?

Really doubt we are getting Jrue. Amico said agents were saying that. Might just be drumming up interest in a client.

After thinking a bit more... i still do the asik deal to get their first this year. Only that tho. Give the ability to pick swap so it gives them interest and u have just narrowed down the field BIG TIME for a top pick.

Anyone know what 76ers odds would be for first pick and or top 2-3? if we had their pick in a swap as well? Thatd be insane

Pick swap option with them could be really great, obviously. Maybe this year and next with no guarantee of a pick?
