I've been nervous about Fultz's athleticism since before the college season started, but looking back at some of his videos this weekend, I noticed that his "burst" (this is the wrong word, but I can't find a fitting one) and/or ability to use his physicality improved a ton as the season went on. This gave me some confidence that he can reach a top NBA gear with his development trajectory. I'm also confident that he can put on another 15+ lbs, and that this will improve his game. He's a power athlete (though not fast twitch), so "good" weight should benefit him since he should have the strength to carry it.

Check out these Oregon highlights. I think most of us consider Jordan Bell a high level defensive prospect. At the very least, he's a 22-year old physical specimen with one of the fastest combine lane agility times ever for a PF. Look at what Fultz does to him. Not only does he show the ability to blow by Bell easily on switches, etc., but he also successfully gets into Bell's body and makes plays/draws the foul. This is impressive stuff for a then-18.5 year old.

Fultz turns corners with a ton of power when driving and he also gets a ton of height. He's an awesome finisher around the rim.

He's a much better athlete than people give him credit for.

Yeah people are also sleeping on the fact that Fultz was 18 his entire freshman year and will be 19 his entire rookie season with us. He is still developing physically and could easily become stronger, more explosive, etc. in a few years.

Yeah.. Good definition. Power athlete. Like LeBron type athleticism. He's not that quick John Wall, peak DRose or westbrook type athlete.

Fultz plays like a similar pace with Jrue but he's miles better with his vertical.

Well, if that's the case then Josh jackson at 20 should be a big deal.

Josh Jackson is more likely maxed out physically considering he's 15 months older than Fultz. That along with his underwhelming measurements and broken shot are red flags.

Personally I expect Boston to pass on Jackson and take Jayson Tatum instead at #3 after Fultz and Ball go #1 and #2. Jackson will go #4 to Phoenix.

It's cliche but I see a quicker Brandon Roy. He always plays at his own pace but suddenly, after he's lulled you to sleep, you realize this guy has a 2nd gear and a serious vertical.

The pace is so Hardenesque it's scary.

General NBA says they may have red flags with Fultz, thats why Celts is passing up on him. But why don't they say maybe Sixers see redflags in both Jackson and Tatum right?

I'll put it this way. Some players goes to a gear that few can match. Like john wall.

Fultz is like a counter puncher, slow then fast, left then right, block the path then side step or spin, sag way off and he will pull up. Stay close and he'll drive.

With the acquisition of Fultz, I guess we will not sign any expensive PG like lowry, jrue, hill, etc?

That would be my guess. I think the focus shifts to a wing player for FA targets.

Seeing we really are aiming for the play-offs, I can see us start with Bayless or TJ at point and maybe even TLC or Sauce at 2.

Think Fultz will be coming along very easily.

...or Ben Simmons will be the starting point guard.. like the 76ers have kept telling us for 6 months.

Fultz should be a day one start because our guards are extremely weak. Just throw him out there, and give him 28-32 minutes from the get go.

2017-18:
5-Embiid/Holmes/Okafor/Bell
4-Simmons/Saric/Bell
3-Roco/TLC+Saric/Anderson
2-Redick/TLC/Stauskas/Dorsey
1-Fultz/Bayless/TJ

My ideal 2017/18 Sixers
Sixers fan since 2001. From Russia.

Interesting how former Fultz skeptics here are now on board  But seriously, I am far higher on Fultz than most people in the forums and on twitter seem to be. More closely to how some podcast people and Draftexpress has him. For me, his biggest question is his first step but I have always thought he would get more explosive and as he grows older, given how young he is, that he is a late-bloomer, and that he shows a great max vert and speed in the open court. I might be wrong, but if I am right, Fultz will be a superstar.

I believe there are going to be better players picked after him. Something about him seems off.
His workout with the 76ers was so so bad.. Ainge wasn't impressed with his iworkout with the Celtics aswell.

Yeah, man. That 7 minute workout directly after a 3 hour car ride definitely screams bust.

His body language is poor. This workout and his body language is so atypical for a future star player.
Watching him with his head down throughout the workout and looking not confident at all is worrysome. His dribbling moves were also shaky.

And the crazy thing is he could have been picked 3rd since Ainge wasn't fond of him at all and Lakers were going after Lonzo.

This was really cool. Who says he's not athletic again?

With all due respect is that really you in your avatar? The words you write match up almost exactly with that pic.

Just about every game of his is on youtube, hours and hours of footage with a man in his face. What you're describing just isn't true, except of those 7 minutes.

You may not like him, that's fine, but seems you're putting too much stock in that video, at least.

So he says after the fact. Ainge is a known bullpooper (**** wouldn't convey what I meant, lol).
