Re: Markelle Fultz Discussion II
notice how he can't put his shooting hand under the ball and it's literally on the side of the ball? it's a shoulder issue

He's playing because he isn't hurt.

Re: Markelle Fultz Discussion II
It still looks like he is just pushing the ball. Incredibly frustrating because he used to have such a clean jumper.

and if he isnt hurt, then why is his shot changing each and every damn game? im not arguing your wrong, Im trying to figure out wtf is going on???
if hes hurt, then why is he playing if its bad enough that his shot turns worse than my 2 year old son's... and if hes not hurt, then why is he allowed to shoot worse than my 2 year old son's shot when he had a perfectly fine shot to begin with?!
an answer needs to come, this season is shaping up to be a nightmare

Re: Markelle Fultz Discussion II
If he's not changing his jumper and he's not hurt, then it's by choice. There's no such thing as "not being able to find your form" because players shoot in a way that feels natural to them, and the way Fultz is shooting is nothing natural. If he's not hurting, he's going out of his way to shoot that way,and shame on the coaches for not getting him to change it. Inexcusable by the staff.

He's really only made a major adjustment on Free throws. He's making minor adjustments on his FG attempts because he can't get enough space to get clean shots off.
He's not hurt. That's the team putting that out there to cover for why he looks so bad out there. A stumbling attempt to temper expectations. They should have just blamed it on extreme youth, and left it at that.

Re: Markelle Fultz Discussion II
his regular FG shot has a massive difference to it.. not minor.. he bent his elbow in college, now he sticks the ball way away from his body and his arm is damn near strait

Re: Markelle Fultz Discussion II

Yes let me release the ball lower and away from my body thus intentionally getting less elevation on my shot because I know I can't get clean looks off. While we're at it lets completely change my freethrow form too.
When one is obsessed rationale thinking tends to go out the window.

so you are in the "hes hurt" camp?
im just wondering, again not arguing with anyone
he said before the game hes almost 100% healthy, and yet his shot today, while the ft looked "better" still looked NOTHING like his college shot
so again, leads me to believe, at least some of this awful ****, is his doing

Yes sir. Actually my clip is long but twitter only allowed me to post that much. He was the guy rebounding the ball for embiid to shoot hahahaha
Last time I saw a guard doing that is Evan Turner
No wonder we havent seen him do 3pt shooting in practice

If LloydFree says he isn't hurt, that just about confirms with 100% certainty he is.
When all else fails, just count on his chronic wrongness syndrome.

Evan Turner was the last guard I saw continuously get his shot blocked like that in a game, too.

and this was from an alpha score from anywhere pg in college
I am starting to think our franchise is purposefully sabatoging everything.. between always holding guys out, this, and embiid playing handoff at the 3 point line, i dont know what to think
i have 0 trust in this franchise to turn things around, absolutely 0

I'm in the I have no idea so I can only speculate camp. Why a guy who got drafted number 1 overall taking and making some of the most tightly contested shots I've seen an 18 year old make all of the sudden switch everything up to become a slasher who refuses to shoot unless he absolutely has to makes no sense.
Maybe Fultz is protesting playing off ball by saying look here I can't shoot give me the ball
Maybe he's savant and wants to sabotage the early part of his career and than boom turn it on, like heh look at me I'm so good I can self sabotage and still ball out
Maybe he sucks, he knows it, and changed his shot intentionally before the season began to give an excuse for him sucking
Maybe he has the yips and is scared of being in the NBA.
Or maybe he got hurt and is trying to work his way back.
One of these seems more likely than the other.

And remember that spin move and broken jumper? Good ol days
One of this summer he'll try to lose lbs, try to be more athletic by practicing a 360 dunk and change his shooting mechanics that he'll revert back to his broken form the next summer
