If Harden plays well they can win. Don't need a game 1 or 4 performance. Even if he plays like he did in game 5 they can pull this out. He's got extra time. His 3 point shot needs to be hitting though.

Dont worry guys i wont watch the game and we will win. I didnt watch the game 5 and we won convincingly, I watched the 2 first quarters yesterday and we got blown out. I stoped watching and we come back. I saw in my cel that we were tied so i turned on the tv and we were winning 83 to 81, then hell broke loose lol. We cant win with me watching this series  .

This 7th game is starting to give me 1982 ECF vibes. Unlike that game, we didn't blow a 3-1 lead after having blown a 3-1 lead and lost the ECF to Boston the year before, so there isn't that level of "here we go again". But blowing a 3-2 lead and not having made it out of the second round in Embiid's career does give off some of that fatal feeling.

In '82, the city had completely quit on the Sixers and the team raised its level across the board, playing shut down defense, getting a stellar performance by Julius, and Andrew Toney cementing his Boston Strangler status. Still my favorite Sixer game ever, never to be topped.

This has a lot of the same feeling, with Harden and Embiid having so much still to prove, a young up and coming star in Maxey arriving on the big stage, and Rivers trying to dispel his reputation as a big game choker. Let's see if they have the steel to deliver a performance worthy of that great '80's team 40 years later.

Keys to game 7:

1. Embiid & Harden locked in from the jump
2. Doc needs a response to double big (likely no PJ)
3. Decent percentage from role players on open C&S threes

That is exactly what I was thinking of last night. Granted that 76ers team had already made multiple finals. I looked up that box score after the game and they lead by 3 after 3 and they scored 11 points in the 4th...

I get why they put these games on Sundays over Saturdays, but on Mother's Day is wack.

This really comes down to Harden imo. Embiid has been up & down but his rim protection has been so elite that it makes up for any offensive struggles.

Harden is simultaneously the reason we got this far AND the reason we might lose this series. We gave away this game & game 3 imo because Harden absolutely sucked in both.

Based on variance if we can get the same shot quality in Game 7 we should win. According to this, if we had hit our shots, we would have blown the doors off of them.

You have to take in consideration that a lot of that quality is a by product of Boston giving PJ open looks on purpose too, obviously there is other stuff like the looks Melton missed in the 4th, but still it's not something to take at face value straight away.

Volume also tends to decrease your %

Agreed.

4th quarter, we had plenty of opportunities though.

Legacy game for Embiid. Gotta bring it home. All great players have blown a competitive advantage at home in the playoffs. One of Jordan's great moments was the second round game winner in Cleveland after blowing it in Chicago.

He just has to win it, he's the best player in this series.

Go Warriors. 3:30 games on Sundays should be illegal.
